Snowboard Nidecker Escape

Note: The actual colour of the board's base may be different than the one shown on the picture. Brands make them randomly.

The Escape is about to become a new standard in Nidecker’s all-mountain line of boards. The board comes with techs and features used on higher-priced models but the R&D lab worked miracles and managed to release this gem as one of the best quality / performance / price ratio.

What can the Nidecker Escape snowboard do?

Great all-mountain board that tends to perform best in the backcountry. The board comes from Nidecker factories and it’s easy to tell considering the inimitable style of it. The wood-based graphics and the superior finish makes this board truly awesome. But beyond the aesthetics hides an all-terrain monster. The Escape floats on pow as if it was easy, it busts through the crud and manoeuvers through the most technical terrains with a ridiculous ease. The board can even perform in the park because even if it comes with a directional shape with a rocker (which, by the way, is the thing that’ll help on pow), it’s only a slightly directional shape. Combined with a Pop Core, you can very well go play on park kickers or natural booters and work on landing new tricks. On groomed snow, the board works like a dream and carves long arcs with a scientific precision. It’s got snap and bites hard in the snow making a reliable partner for every rider out there.

Who is the Nidecker Escape snowboard designed for?

Great choice for advanced and expert riders looking for a board that delivers great performance while it remains pretty easy to control. Ideally suited for those who prefer freeriding but who like the idea of sending a trick here and there.

Structure - Construction

  • Pop Core  :

Core designed for freestyle use. Made of poplar wood, with a higher density in the tips in order to give the board more reactivity.

  • Shock Absorber
  • Triax Plus  :

The result of extensive testing with our riders and engineers, our Triax laminate is oriented at 35° to the board, and contains different glass densities. This provides consistent torsional flex, better pop, and more reactivity on every turns

  • Vibra Kevlar  :

Eliminates chatter for a more comfortable ride.

Rocker - Camber

  • CamRock Freeride  :

The CamRock Freeride will give you everything you need for your backcountry line. There is more rocker in the nose to add float and improved maneuverability, matched with a smaller amount of camber under foot to keep your snowboard responsive. A small amount of rocker in the tail will give you stability and maneuverability.

Other

  • Die Cut
  • Edge  :

Nidecker's edges have 35% more steel than typical edges, which means that they have two and a half times the impact resistance of other edges offered on the market today

  • Base 6000  :

Fast base with diamond finish. Very strong and absorbing.

Baseplate - Chassis

  • Delta Light  :

Engineered with the highest quality aluminum and fiber reinforced nylon. This ultra light weight baseplate was designed to enhance response and board feel. The weight on this baseplate was dramatically reduced by removing heavy plastic and replacing it with an EVA dampening pad. Delta-lite has an all new contact pad placed directly on the board to better dampen and take riding to a whole new level. A versatile, all-terrain performance baseplate that’s fully customizable for superior fit.

  • Natural cant  :

Customize your riding stance maintaining the natural riding position in order to facilitate the natural inclination of the legs! It features the Rebound heel absorber low density cushioning to increase in the heel area the absorption of the vibrations and the dampening in landings. Thanks to the new Natural Cant pad the riding flavor will smell differently.

Highback

  • Light Frame  :

Good news for the lovers of lightness! The new Light Frame keeps the same benefits of a full frame highback without the weight! It's a perfect mix of torsion and response while dramatically reducing the weight of the highback. This guarantees that it is comfortable, forgiving with no compromise of the support. And no extra weight.

Straps - Buckles

  • MG 12  :

Take the quickest, and most efficient ratchet in the market, appreciated for its ability to slide five ladder steps every crank and its ergonomic shape to fasten the ratcheting and releasing operations. Then reduce the weight by 25% using Magnesium instead of aluminum and add even more precision with the new metal button release. You have yet to try the best.

  • Convertible Toe Glove  :

This revolutionary uretane strap ensures perfect fit over the toe of the boot. Its two flexible wings go around the toes,

automatically forming a gapless bond between strap and boot, which keeps them secure in the binding. They can also be

positioned in their original mode across the front of the toes.

  • Premium MFC ankle strap  :

Comfort, response, and flex in a luxuriously constructed strap.

New internal padding for extra flex and coheasion with boot and binding interface. Featured on the Fifty binding, which is the best Drake's “value for the money”.

Various

  • Disc Classic  :

The original Drake disc that mounts on 4-hole and 3-hole pattern without hassles. Don't waste time looking for ways to rig a custom stance. The classic gives you the option to personalize your drake binding setup with any board brand you ride.
