Have you ever heard of the pro rider Jake Blauvelt? If no is your answer, perhaps you should have a look on youtube and come back. Why do you need to know him? Because the Berzerker is his board of choice and if you want to ride like him, getting his board is a good start. Then comes the technique ;)

What can the Ride Berzerker snowboard do?

The Berzerker is the buzz-maker at Ride. The board is a crowd-favorite because it can do anything and it does it well. It rocks! With a slightly directional shape, a big rocker in the nose and a camber that is slightly setback, you get the ultimate all-terrain weapon. A crud-busting, power-floating and piste-ripping deck like you’ve never seen before. It doesn’t matter if the terrain ahead looks like fresh pow of chopped-up or slush snow, the Berzerker is going to slay it like butter. So, telling you what’s the board capable of is pretty difficult because it can do everything. It’s a pow board because it floats and manoeuvers through the deep with an effortless ease. And it’s a piste board as well because the combo flex/camber provides grip and support for full speed carving. The only weakness of the Berzerker may stand in the park where hardcore freestylers will probably lack of agility due to the directional shape. Apart from that, the Berzerker is a quiver killer.

Who is the Ride Berzerker snowboard designed for?

It is a board designed for lots of riders out there. Any rider with skills should be happy with it, but to be more specific, they’ll be happy if they want a board that excels on powder with good manoeuverability while it remains grippy and responsive on hard snow. We recommend it to versatile / freeride-oriented riders. Those who prefer freestyle will prefer the Helix by Ride. .

Structure - Construction

  • CARBON ARRAY™ 3  :

This power distribution technology provides total board control in every stance location. Widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channeled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control. Offered in three levels of technology, 3, 5, and 7.

  • Slimewalls®  :

Ride's exclusive Slimewalls are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on. On top of that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding.

Triaxial on top and biaxial below, torsion and stiffness are balanced for a better response at high speed.

Aspen wood very dense combined with bamboo and other light woods to provide a perfect balance between strength and lightweight.

  • POP RODS 2.0  :

Ride’s Pop Rods® give already fun and playful boards the added liveliness to set them apart from the competition. Using strategic placement in the boards tip and/or tail, this technology adds pop without the stiffness generally associated with snappy boards. Made up of flat carbon rods that wrap a urethane slime-core, Pop Rods® have carbon for massive pop and a slime-core to smooth out the landing.

Rocker - Camber

  • Directionnal Hybrid Camber  :

A directionnal shape with a setback hybrid profile that is more camber than rocker.

  • FUSION 4000 base  :

Stronger, harder, faster than extruded bases - known to be the fastest base (sintered)

Snow Binding Rossignol Cuda V1 Black Grey

If the Cuda looks very much alike the XV, it is no concidence. It features mostly the same techs, the main difference being the highback's profile which is higher, stiffer and more vertical in order to offer more support. This means Rossignol is releasing with the Cuda a high-end binding designed for hard charging freestylers who will appreciate the 3° canting maximising pop and enhancing comfort by offering a more natural alignment of ankles, knees and hips.

What can the Rossignol Cuda V1 Black Grey do?

On this model there is no EVA foam but gel pads instead which provides a better shock absorbtion. You can charge as hard as you can on any terrain you can find, you will blast through it with a ridiculous ease. From deep powder to freshly groomed snow through difficult conditions like crud, slush, corn or iced bumps, you'll feel like you're riding on silk. This makes the binding perfect for sending huge tricks off natural booters or assaulting rails in the park. The cushy feel makes not only landings smoother but it increases stability as well. The Cuda is also super precise and delivers mindblowing energy transmissions meaning if you need reactivity from your bindings to link park features quickly, you got it with the Cuda.

Who is the Rossignol Cuda V1 Black Grey designed for?

Way too demanding for beginners, the Cuda is a match for advanced and expert riders who know how to deal with reactivity and power. If you are used to airing table tops and ollieing over natural lips and if you're looking for high comfort and control, then the Cuda is a safe pick.

Baseplate - Chassis

  • HC-X 33 baseplate  :

    • Lighter, stronger, better, faster. • Nylon® composite & fiberglass baseplate. • Adjustable 6082 T6 aluminum E.H.T. heelcup. • Tool free adjustable gas pedal. • Comes in 2 versions: • The HC-X18 includes a 18% glass fiber ratio and has a mid torsion resistance for more comfort. • The stiffer HC-X33 has a 33% glass fiber ratio and blends longer and shorter fibers for more punch.

  • Magnebed S3R  :

Because you can never have too much of cushioning on a binding, Rossignol swapped the EVA with gel pads underneath the 3 critical sections of the foot. You'll get a better dampening on impacts, better absorbtion of chatter, for less overall fatigue.

  • Contour Light  :

    • Anatomical, ultra-lightweight, supportive, comfortable & controlable.

    • Asymmetrically designed so that you can go duck and wide stance with more comfort.
