Snowboard Rossignol Krypto

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Krypto is not new to the game, it has built its own skills over the past seasons and it returns for 2016 packed up with freeride abilities and all-mountain performance. Don't worry about Superman, he's no threat with the Kypto on your feet.

What can the Rossignol One do?

The Krypto features all the benefits of the Rossignol XV board, but it comes with a softer flex making the board more forgiving and suitable for a larger crowd of riders. It comes with a generous double rocker maximising floatation on deep powder and manoeuverability as well. The board moves elegantly on the ungroomed and overcomes any obstacle that lies ahead, may it be a cornice to jump or a forest to go through. The board is extremely stable and riders who like to go fast will appreciate how the Krypto handles speed. But the board is also a real performer on groomers. The magne traction technology combined with the traditional camber and the directional shape provide tons of grip and help you lay turns with a scientific precision. If you want a board that can ride any terrain at speed, the Krypto has to be yours.

Who is the Rossignol One designed for?

Suited for advanced riders looking for a powder-oriented board that delivers agility and performance and that can return on groomed snow when conditions aren't great.

Structure - Construction

  • Magne-Traction 7M  :

The original 7M version features 7 deep bumps distributed along the edges. Magne-Traction maximizes the edge pressure between the feet, bringing this once unreachable “dead area” back to life for more control and stability in the gnarliest conditions.

  • TwinWood3 core  :

Hard and soft woods laminated together for a unique blend of durability, smoothness and lower swing weight.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Super directional flex  : Very directional flex • Extremely stiff under the back foot for maximum control • Stiff waist for stability at high speed • Medium stiff under the front foot for smoother turns.

Rocker - Camber

  • AMPTEK All Mountain  :

2011-12, we continue to refine our story with 3 versions of AmpTek designed to enhance every style of riding. Unlimited mobility with the AmpTek Autoturn, superior punch with the AmpTek All Mountain, and explosive pop with the AmpTek Freestyle. • AmpTek is for everyone. • AmpTek makes snowboarding easier. • All 3 versions were designed for any terrain and all conditions. >> More control, more stability >> Great combo with Magne Traction >> More edge pressure >>Smoother landings >> Very nimble in the powder >> Softer tips/ Stiffer waists

Snow Binding Rossignol XV (Xavier De Le Rue) Black Yellow

The XV wears the signature of Xavier de Le Rue, famous pro freerider. Needless to explain that the binding was designed to fulfill his needs and ride the big mountain with as much performance as possible. At this level, precision isn't an option and a lack of reactivity may have serious consequences...The XV was designed to avoid this. With its HCX-33 baseplate integrating 33% of fiberglass and its AsymWrap 3D highback the XV provides ultimate contact with the boot for lightning fast reactivity and optimal control. The 3° canted footbeds increase the comfort and the straps ensure the most comfortable hold you could dream of without sacrificing the reactivity of them. The list of techs goes on and on but telling you that Xavier rides the XV himself should be enough to convince you right?

What our testers say : High end binding that benefits from an outstanding finish for unrivaled performance and unmatched comfort. You can expect the snappiest response in the most extreme conditions. This is a binding for riders who ride hard and fast and who need power and control more than anyone.

Baseplate - Chassis

  • HC-X 33 baseplate  :

    • Lighter, stronger, better, faster. • Nylon® composite & fiberglass baseplate. • Adjustable 6082 T6 aluminum E.H.T. heelcup. • Tool free adjustable gas pedal. • Comes in 2 versions: • The HC-X18 includes a 18% glass fiber ratio and has a mid torsion resistance for more comfort. • The stiffer HC-X33 has a 33% glass fiber ratio and blends longer and shorter fibers for more punch.

  • Magnebed S3R  :

Because you can never have too much of cushioning on a binding, Rossignol swapped the EVA with gel pads underneath the 3 critical sections of the foot. You'll get a better dampening on impacts, better absorbtion of chatter, for less overall fatigue.

  • 3D Asymwrap  :

Complete asymmetry (heigth, width and depth) for an incredible comfort and precision, especially when set in big stance.

Anti-shock Nylon construction for its stiffness, flex and comfort.

Straps - Buckles

  • 40 oZ Strap  :

Full cover of the instep and ankle. Super Foam coating for comfort. Hyrtel webbing for the hold. Convertible toe strap.

  • Asymlight Lever  :

Asymmetrical design. Molded aluminium for its great durability and its lightweight. Rapidfire bearings for a more natural opening.
