Snowboard Rossignol XV

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

XV, a true signature in the world of snowboarding. An iconic figure symbolising the pro rider Xavier De Le Rue who left his mark on the steepest slopes of the entire world. Reknowned as one of the most extreme freeriders, he had to have board complying with his needs and with this in mind, Rossignol designed the XV. High-end, high performance, powder machine.

What can the Rossignol XV snowboard do?

The XV is clearly a freeride board. Do not expect a forgiving flex or press-able tips, the board’s a rocket made for charging hard and fast. The shortest length available is 159 which kinda says it all. It’s there for floating on the deepest powder and for carving the deepest trenches on ice. The board delivers an impressive breaking power and literally plows its way through crud or chopped up conditions. It’s stable, responsive and kicks hard out turns to provide powerful accelerations. Featuring the latest and most advanced technologies developed by the brand, you better know how to ride before strapping in this beast.

Who is the Rossignol XV snowboard designed for?

The Rossignol XV is a pro model which means only advanced or expert riders can tame it. It is a high performance freeride snowboard delivering tons of precision and grip on hard snow with a natural floatation on the soft stuff. Fierce and powerful, the most aggressive freeriders are definitely going to be pleased.

Structure - Construction

  • Magne-Traction 7M  :

The original 7M version features 7 deep bumps distributed along the edges. Magne-Traction maximizes the edge pressure between the feet, bringing this once unreachable “dead area” back to life for more control and stability in the gnarliest conditions.

  • THC2 CBF2 Core  :

A strip of basalt fiber is running along each edge for a more precise grip, a solid stability, an explosive pop and a stunning glide.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Reverse Super Directional  : Very directional flex • Extremely stiff under the front foot for confident control and maximum power • Stiff waist for stability at high speed • Medium stiff under the rear foot for smoother turns and nimble maneuverability

Rocker - Camber

Other

  • Roller Tip  : An industy-first, Rossignol's Roller technology features a milled core along the edges, raising the edges of the board off of the snow to varying degrees to address the needs of every riding style. TIP ROLLER raises edges 1mm off of the snow just past the contact points, directing snow around the board for increased stability at high speed, better floatation in powder, and reduced swing weight.

Snow Binding Union Force Cork

You may not be a jedi, we still wish the Force to be with you. Union continues to make this iconic binding for 2017 and it would have been a shame if they’d dropped it. Featuring a Stage 4 chassis made of Duraflex ST, the binding is extremely responsive and remains incredibly light. The aluminium heelcup and the high-end magnesium buckles do nothing to make this binding heavier but they do make it stronger. The most difficult thing with the Force Cork is to choose the colour that matches your jacket don’t you think?

What can the Union Force Cork snowboard binding do?

This snowboard binding is as versatile as it is comfortable. Terrains and conditions don’t matter as long as there is snow involved. The Force Cork is a precise and responsive binding allowing riders to carve neat arcs on groomers at warp speed or to surf powder like a lord and stomp pillows with style and ease. Freestylefreeride, it’s all the same, the Force Cork is tweakable thanks to a good lateral flex and it is supportive thanks to a stiff medial one. Combined with well finished straps, the binding holds on the boot perfectly and transfers your energy while it absorbs vibrations and reduces impacts.

Who is the Union Force Cork snowboard binding designed for?

No need to know how to swing a lightsaber to manage the Force, but you do need riding skills. Advanced snowboarders should get on well with the binding. It offers versatility and responsiveness, it remails ultra light and the SonicFuse straps are so comfortable it almost feels like there are none.
