Snowboard Salomon The Villain

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Villain was carefully designed under the watchful eye of Louif Paradis. That’s one of the reasons why the board has become a legend. It represents everything about freestyle so if your next goal after winning the local contest is to be at the X-Games, you’re in the right place.

What can the Salomon The Villain snowboard do?

It is a freestyle board, no more, no less. A true twin-tip loaded with pop and designed for riding switch or regular as you like and stomping tail presses or wallrides everywhere. It’s a board that offers solid support at high speed thanks to a beefy construction. If it doesn’t have a favorite between rails or kickers, it does prefer big features rather than beginner lines. The Villain is a responsive ride but it keeps a playful character thanks to its rockered tips making presses a lot easier. And like a good board, this freestyle stick knows how to deliver performance on other terrains than the park. It’s versatile and it works well on or off piste, as long as you got the technique for. Carving with it is easy as pie and sending 360s in the pow even easier. Bear in mind it’s a freestyle deck though, you will ride a shorter length than a regular board and shorter means less float on the pow. If you’re looking for a backcountry gun, check out the Sickstick by Salomon.

Who is the Salomon The Villain snowboard designed for?

Ideally suited for advanced and expert riders who spend the day in the park. Jib or kicker, the board works everywhere and delivers great performance but it’s a technical board and will require a few runs before you full master it. Stable and poppy, it’s a real park and street toy for big children.

Already in Nitro’s catalogue last year, the Zero binding comes back almost untouched. Its lightened base plate and its aluminium buckles allow to save some weight and make it nimbler while the Air Dampening cushioning system brings a pleasant comfort. It is endowed with an asymmetrical highback with a medium flex that provide a good support without being too demanding. On the cushioning side, we also appreciate the soft straps that hold the boot in place.

How about sensations close to skateboarding? This snowboard binding is designed to provide the same feeling. The Zero Not Black offers a maximum freedom of movement and a great feeling of the board associated to an accurate support. Nitro engineers developed here a multipurpose freestyle binding to do laps non-stop on the slopes and in the park. Don’t hesitate to send massive tricks and spins, the Zero Not Black absorbs the shocks and will survive any landing.
