Snowboard Yes Typo

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

This one stands on the step above the Basic in Yes lineup. Basically, you take the Basic, upgrade its engine and you get the Typo. A board designed for cruising down the resort as well as annihilating the backcountry.

What can the Yes Typo snowboard do?

We could easily sing Daft Punk to describe the Typo. Harde, better, faster, stronger are the terms that define it best. The board is stiffer, faster, beefier and more powerful in general than the Basic, it delivers higher performance both on hard and soft snow. The board is stiff and responsive which enhances stability at high speed and eliminates chatter. It provides tons of support and allows riders to charge down the steepest slopes with confidence. The shape is slightly directional which adds manoeuverability to the ride and the firm flex keeps the board powerful with great accelerations out of turns. You get higher carving performance and a better feel on powder. A real all-terrain SUV vehicle.

Who is the Yes Typo snowboard designed for?

The Typo is targetting pretty much the same crowd as its little sister the Basic, intermediates and advanced riders. However, the board is a touch stiffer and strong riders or aggressive ones are more likely to get on with it. To make things simpler, if you’re looking for progression and speed, go for the Typo, if you’re up for some cruising, pick the Basic.

Structure - Construction

  • Biaxial Fiberglass  :

Weaved biaxial fiberglass are positioned at 0°/90° for more torsional flex. Great performance at carving or park.

  • Poplar WoodCore  :

Woodcores have always been used in the snowboard industry and are well known for their performances in terms of stability, rebounce, dampening and durability.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Directional twin shape  :

Symetric shape for freestyle, directional flex for smooth turns at full speed. Bindings are slightly setback.

  • Shape True Twin / Radial Outline with Underbite Edges  :

Withe success of last years Overbite Edges on the Hel we wanted to see what would happen when we take our own design theories and turn them inside out. The result was a small revolution in board shaping. By stepping in under the bindings it reduces (or disrupts) the surface area of the edge that has contact with snow (while the board is on edge) which in turn increases the edge pressure in the areas where you need it - from binding out, and through the center of the board where the carving arc is taking place.

The Hel is designed to be ridden more aggressively and benefits from the traction associated with bump-outs. The Basic and Emoticon benefit from more subtle re-distribution of your body weight onto areas that help you turn.

Rocker - Camber

  • CamRock  :

The CamRock will give you everything you need for your backcountry line. There is more rocker in the nose to add float and improved maneuverability, matched with a smaller amount of camber under foot to keep your snowboard responsive. A small amount of rocker in the tail will give you stability and maneuverability.

Other

  • Sintered Spec. base  :

This is the term we use and is the grey zone many companies play in. We call it Sintered spec. because it's hardness and chemical properties are very colse to true sintered and it's on-snow performance is also very close to true sintered - but it's formed using the extrusion process. How? - Well the raw material is actually pre-consumer recycled (meaning it never left the factory) sintered base material. So while the heatingand extrusion process has softened it slightly, it's still much harder than true extruded.

Snow Binding Drake Reload Black

The Reload Black is the most freestyle orientated snowboard binding made in Drake. To shred the park, Drakes engineers endowed it with the Spoiler Spade, an asymmetrical model tested last year  with a wide success that ensures a super flex to send massive tricks. The 2017 Reload Black has a convertible toe strap that you can set the old school way: over the top of the boot, or the new school way: on the tip of the boot. This strap perfectly wraps the boot and delivers an incredible holding. With the Reload Black made in Drake, you will enjoy a comfortable canting for a more natural stand on the board and more aggressive holds.

What can the Drake Reload Black binding do?

No wonder why the pros have a blast with this binding in the biggest parks of the circuit because it delivers an insane range of motion without compromising the quality of the support. With its Light Saber baseplate generously padded you can land massives tricks and spins. The Reload Black provides a flex quite soft that brings forgiveness to land tricks smoothly. If you got some fresh overnight and want to jump in backcountry, shred some pow, shape your kicker and send as hard as you can, the Reload Black will make you land everything even in deep.

Who is the Drake Reload Black binding designed for?

Drake engineers designed this playful binding for freestylers looking for a solid and ultra nimble model. Perfect toy for bold and thrill seekers.

Baseplate - Chassis

  • Light Saber  : The Light Saber is an evolution of the Delta Light base plate. Drake reduced the contact points to the minimum, in order to give you a better feeling while riding, whilst reducing the weight. The heelcup positionning is totally toolless: 3 different positions, adjustable with two levers placed on the baseplate. Last but not least, the new Light Saber baseplate gives you the opportunity to adjust the highback independently from the ankle straps, this means 13 different customizable combinations to suit your riding style.
  • Natural Cant Evo  : The Natural Cant Evo has a total new design and it’s totally toolless; beside that it features the Rebound heel absorber low density cushioning to increase in the heel area the absorption of the vibrations and the dampening in landings. Thanks to the new Natural Cant Evo pad your riding will feel totally different.

Highback

  • Spade  :

A new design concepts is landed in Drake's collection. This new asymmetrical design gives extra flex to your riding and your tweaks. It features also a new adjuster system faster and stronger.

Straps - Buckles

  • MG 12  :

Take the quickest, and most efficient ratchet in the market, appreciated for its ability to slide five ladder steps every crank and its ergonomic shape to fasten the ratcheting and releasing operations. Then reduce the weight by 25% using Magnesium instead of aluminum and add even more precision with the new metal button release. You have yet to try the best.

  • Convertible Toe Glove  :

This revolutionary uretane strap ensures perfect fit over the toe of the boot. Its two flexible wings go around the toes,

automatically forming a gapless bond between strap and boot, which keeps them secure in the binding. They can also be

positioned in their original mode across the front of the toes.

  • Hyperlight Ankle strap  :

A slim, contoured ankle strap new to the Drake line. This strap is built with high quality leather and multi-density foam for full ergonomic comfort and support.

Various

  • Disc Classic  :

The original Drake disc that mounts on 4-hole and 3-hole pattern without hassles. Don't waste time looking for ways to rig a custom stance. The classic gives you the option to personalize your drake binding setup with any board brand you ride.
