The 2017 Hawx Prime 90 by Atomic is nothing else than the original Hawx with a forgiving flex rating at 90. This recreational all-mountain ski boot is flexy and comes with a medium fit (10mm forefoot width). This makes it comfortable as well as performing. The memory shape liner is highly adjustable and contours your foot with precision to offer a better heat retention and more comfort. The Thinsulate technology featured brings warmth and keeps the elements at bay. The closure system works well and provide an excellent hold with the 4 aluminium buckles and the 40mm velcro strap

What can the Atomic Hawx Prime 90 ski boot do?

In every Hawx Prime ski boots, this model with a flex at 90 is the one that is the most suitable for the largest crowd of skiers. Bringing the ideal mix of comfort and performance, the Hawx Prime 90 allows you to ride on every single piste the resort has to offer. If you feel like pushing, the boot will feel sporty and responsive but if you want to relax and cruise, the boot will cope and provide a smooth and forgiving flex. But the Hawx Prime 90 is not a piste-specific ride, it can be versatile and ride on ungroomed and fresh powder with ease. Strong and beefy skiers may find it a touch too flexy if they aim for the steepest slopes in Alaska, but it’s definitely going to make happy every other skier out there.

Who is the Atomic Hawx Prime 90 ski boot designed for?

It’s an all-mountain ski boot best suited for intermediate skiers as well as light advanced ones. The boot delivers comfort and performance to every feet out there, with a solid hold and a snug warm feel inside.

Shell and Cuff

  • Memory Fit  :

With the Memory Fit process, the three elements of the boot can adapt and mold itself to the entire shape of the foot (the shell, the collar, the inner boot). The expansion can go up to 6mm in total around the front of the foot and 10mm in total around the ankle. The result: a complete and permanent anatomical fit. This one is harden with the Memolink, a plastic additive that increases the moulding characteristics and extensibility of the plastics.

  • Sole Flex  :

This special flex zone around the foot arch offers a natural curve line, for a better balance, optimized sensations underfoot and a better handiness.

  • PU Shell and cuff  :

Plastic material (Polyurethane) is the main component of many of the ski boots on the market. Its flex is optimum even if it reacts to temperature variations. Last longer.

  • ASY Pro Liner  :

All our inner boots offer an asymmetrical construction made of good quality materials, with a tongue, a toe area and an asymmetrical collar shape. It is the most anatomical construction of the market offering the best holding in downhill.

  • Memory Fit 3D liner  :

Heatmoldable preformed heel and ankle creating an anatomic fit very comfortable around the heel and ankle areas for a better hold. There is no pressure point even during first use. In order to ensure a consistent comfort, you get a monoblock toe box that shapes like the shell and wraps the foot with a soft foam.

  • 3M Thinsulate + flex zone Silver Liner  :

A lightweight, completely re-engineered liner with 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation keeps feet warm and responsive even in extremly cold and damp conditions. Thinsulate Platinum surrounds the whole foot while standard Thinsulate is placed in the toe box only.

  • 3M Thinsulate Insulation  :

The more air a material traps in a given space, the greater its insulating value. The microfibers in 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation are far finer than any other fibers. It means they trap more insulating air in less space, even when wet. This keeps feet warm and responsive even in extremely cold and damp conditions. Microfibers trap warm insulating air. Exceptionally thin to retain a perfect fit. Placed in the toe box where your body cools down first

  • Sidas insoles  :

Sidas insoles that offer comfort, support and dampening

  • 7000 alu buckle
  • Strap Velcro 40mm

  • Standard Din 2K  :

This is the flat alpine sole that we traditionally find on standard boots. ISO 5355 certified, they work on a reliable manner with traditional alpine bindings ISO 9462. certified.
