Designed like a freeride boot, Atomic gave to the Waymaker Carbon 120 a very convenient ski/walk mode allowing for short tours and approaches which is great when you want to discover new hidden spots. Switch the boot to walk mode and get a 35° range of cuff travel. It’s a touch less than pure touring boots but it’s already a lot. You don’t want to use it for very long tours as it will cause too much fatigue, but you can definitely use it for short day trips. Moreover, the Waymaker Carbon 120 weighs 2117g which means it’s not the lightest boot ever. However, on the downhill you can expect high freeride performance with a powerful flex suited for an aggressive skiing.

What can the Atomic Waymaker Carbon 120 ski boot do?

With a flex rating at 120 and carbon reinforcements added to the cuff and shell construction, this freeride ski boot delivers responsiveness and lightning fast energy transmissions. This means you can ski fast and rely on precision and power. If you’re a hard charging skier, you’re going to like it a lot. The 3 buckles coupled with the massive 50mm strap provide a strong and comfortable lock perfectly suited for ripping the bottomless powder and slaying the steeps with style and ease.

Who is the Atomic Waymaker Carbon 120 ski boot designed for?

Despite a powerful flex, the boot comes with a 101mm width which is quite wide and therefore super comfortable. Skiers with wide feet are going to love it at first ride while riders with narrow feet may want something that fits closer if you want high precision on demand. It’s really a good choice for big and sporty skiers who are all about power and speed.

Exceptionally thin to retain a perfect fit. Placed in the toe box where your body cools down first
