Alpine Ski Amplid Multiplayer

This year, the Amplid Multiplayer ski is back with a new carbon stringer enhancing its torsional stiffness for a more lively ride on the slopes. However, with its 108mm-waist and its twin-tip shape, this model works best in the backcountry where the pow is deep.

What can the Amplid Multiplayer freeride ski do?

With its very important contact surface, this model was clearly built for surfing the pow and shredding the the off piste. This wide ski is equipped with a rockered tip and tail to maximise floatation and manoeuverability. With the Multiplayer on your feet, anything becomes possible. Jump off a ridge, land switch, stomp pillows and run through tight trees in the same run. The ski does it all, but watch out for the avalanches. The Multiplayer has no limits and is the perfect model for endless fun on the slopes.

Who’s the Amplid Multiplayer freeride ski designed for?

It’s made for advanced up to expert skiers who dreamt about a powerful mid-fat model. If you’re one of them, just pick it up: you won’t be disappointed. Just bear in mind that the Multiplayer is physically demanding and requires strong legs to be tamed.

What are the main assets of the Amplid Multiplayer freeride ski?

Floatation on powder

Playful in both directions

Easy spins

Type of turns

  • Multi-turns

Shape

  • Bidirectional (twin tip)  :

The ski shape allows to ski forward or backward.

Structure - Construction

  • Basalt Suspension Strips  :

Running all the way through the topsheet in a V shape going from the contact points through the ski boots, these basalt reinforcements absorb vibrations and reduce fatigue while ensuring optimal edge/snow contact for maximal control.

  • Jekyll & Hyde Geometry  :

Max effective edge and square centimetres in a min board or ski length. Experimenting with complete shaping (outline, camber and core profile together) in the lab and on the mountain has resulted in some crazy discoveries: Unsinkable but nimble powder boards, sawn-off jib decks with huge pop and edge-hold and the ultimate all-mountain ski recipe. With Jekyll and Hide Geometry appearances can be deceiving.

  • Nukeproof Roundtop  :

Botox for your skis: To protect the topsheet from aging, our latest ski construction offers the best solution against chipping: Thanks to our 3D mould the PE foil gets welded over a small radius onto the sidewall.

  • Pop band carbon stringers  :

Carbon reinforcements centered on the ski and running from tip to tail in order to increase pop and longitudinal stiffness without compromising torsional stiffness.

  • Triaxial Glass  :

Amplid uses Triaxial glass in the majority of its skis for greater torsional rigidity, which in layman's terms means more grip and response.

  • Omni Core  :

The P10 Superlight wood core is the industry standard for lightweight, durable and versatile performance. We've tweaked this core so many times there is nothing left to improve.

Technology

  • Camrock  :

Our Camrock recipe blends a gluttonous dollop of rocker in the nose an tail and pinch of camber underfoot. Notice the strong accents of edge hold and smooth notes of effortless powder glide on your shred palette. Compliments to the chef !

Various

  • Flotation Tips  :

Ultra wide low rising tips that exist purely to create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to skis.

  • Sintered 7 Base  :

A premium sintered plastic which readily absorbs wax and will out-run your riding buddies' bases without breaking a sweat. You better get used to waiting.
