Line Sick Day 2018

Alpine Ski Line Sick Day 104

Redesigned, refined and powered by carbon, the Sick Day 104 mirrors Line’s freeride lineup by featuring a brand new construction. Top sheets look better but the revolution happens inside the ski. Brand new ultra-light woodcore, new 5-point sidecuts for added manoeuverability and new reinforcements make the ski stiffer and more powerful on all terrains. The Sick Day 104 in its 2018 version is a serious blast machine.

What can the Line Sick Day 104 do?

It is an assault weapon designed for annihilating the entire mountain without shaking. The wide waist and dual rocker provide a natural floatability on the soft fluff and the traditional camber ensures grip and control when the terrain gets more complicated and harder. Clearly, the Sick Day 104 is not for groomed trails. It is a ski suited for taking you past the ropes and for ripping the backcountry. Don’t spend your time carving on piste it is not made for it. Go explore the backside of the mountain and make sure you leave your tracks!

Who is the Line Sick Day 104 ski designed for?

We recommend this beefy all-mountainer to advanced or expert skiers who need a SUV vehicle to haul through the trees and explore the mountain without restriction. On piste carving and off piste slashing are both on the menu.

What are the main assets of the Line Sick Day 104 ski?

Structure - Construction

  • Capwall Construction  :

A blend of Cap & Sidewall construction. Cap on the top and sidewall over the edges for a light & responsive cap-feel, with durable, solid, smooth sidewall performance.

  • Carbon Ollieband  :

Tip to tail carbon-fiber stringers are vertically laminated into the core for more energy & pop for ollieing over snowboarders.

  • Aspen Macroblock Core  :

This 100% tip to tail wood core is made from the widest and highest quality Maple and/or Aspen laminates for long lasting camber and energy and the lightest, most durable wood core in the Universe.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Various

  • Directional Flex  :

The softer tip floats & initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides reliable powerful turn exits, & stability.
