Alpine Ski Movement Fly 125

This year the Fly Swatter from Movement becomes the Fly 125! New name, but also new look with a super elegant topsheet! Indeed, this is the widest ski in Movement’s catalogue, but also one of the widest on the market. Its sidecuts: 150-125-145, you can barely hold it with one hand! But that’s what makes it uber floaty and unsinkable. And the ski features a traditional camber to offer added traction on hard snow and technical passages.

What can the Movement Fly 125 ski do?

If you like short turns and sporty slaloms on groomed snow… Then you chose the wrong ski! The Fly 125 is everything but a traditional alpine ski. Fforget about the pistes, this model has been created for big days of deep powder. It is the ideal model to assault a waist-deep coat of fresh snow, the kind of thing you see in the U.S. or in Japan! The dual rocker makes the ski nimble and incredibly fun to move through the deep. Not to mention its superior glide comfort! Its tip absorbs shocks and vibrations thanks to the VA-Tech system and its rubber layers. You can crush every obstacle without feeling it, ski switch with its twin-tip shape and send incredible jumps off natural booters with style. If you want to be the next king of the backcountry, the Fly 125 is for you.

Who is the Movement Fly 125 ski designed for?

This freestyle backcountry ski is intended for the most experienced freeskiers who keep playing in the white room! There is no better ski for smearing the deep stuff…

What are the main assets of the Movement Fly 125 ski?

Playful

Great planing ability

Deep pow slasher

Structure - Construction

  • Construction CTS performance Plus
  • Dynamic Light Tri-Axial Fiber  :

This structure delivers a stiff flex and resists to torsion. It is lighter than the standard tri-axial.

  • Unidirectional fibreglass and carbon
  • Poplar Core  :

Wood is alive, strong and resilient, and guarantees the ski’s continued resilience and longevity. MOVEMENT skis use only PURE wood cores; no synthetic or composite synthetic/wood cores (wood with injected foam) – (except kids skis). These cores are shaped from the most select materials, and are very accurately calibrated for the optimum result. We certify that the origin of our wood cores are FSC or PEFC. We have eliminated in our wood core assembly process the use of toxic adhesives.

    Poplar core

  • VA-TECH  :

The VATECH system is a layer of vibration-dampening rubber inserted under the binding, for better edge grip and a smoother ride. The NOSE VATECH system replaces the ABS plate on skis with a tip wider than 135 mm. This rubber layer smoothes the ride and dampens vibration of extra-wide tips.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Various

  • P-Tex base 4000 1.3mm  :

High density base for a better performance and a longer lasting base.

Binding technologies

  • Triple Pivot Elite Toe  :

The toe construction with DIN/ISO up to Z 18 allows for impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. In relation to their weight, toes with this technology therefore achieve a never-seen-before performance.

  • Magnesium parts  :

Magnesium is THE lightest and most robust metal construction material, making it perfect for our high-end products. This makes you well equipped for a faster run and
    the most radical lines!null

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

  • Inter-Pivot Heel  :

The stunning heel construction delivers superior holding power for free riding, featuring DIN/ISO 6-16. The Inter Pivot Heel directs the power forces in the angle of elasticity improving the holding power and reducing pre-releases.
