Alpine Ski Stockli Stormrider 95

Stöckli returns with the incredible Stormrider 95. The ski stands as the combination of a freeride, alpine and touring ski and turns out to be the ultimate all-terrain ski from the Swiss brand. It’s equipped with the most advanced technologies such as the Titec, a woodcore reinforced with fiberglass and titanium, or the TFC (Tail Flex Control), that makes the ski very smooth thanks to a tail that adjusts to the terrain.

What can the Stockli Stormrider 95 freeride ski do?

With this model, rules no longer exist: you’ll experience a unique feel of freedom. It reads your mind and adapts to your mood. It performs on all conditions and delivers high performance no matter the terrain. Its 95mm waist and its powerful construction make the ski a serious freerider while the rocker enhances floatation and manoeuverability on the soft stuff. From narrow couloirs to gnarly jumps, the Stormrider 95 is a ripper. Its Light Core construction makes it also a good freetouring option. On piste, the Stormrider 95 offers a reliable grip and can actually carve turns better than we expected. It’s just awesome!

Who’s the Stockli Stormrider 95 freeride ski designed for?

It’s made for advanced up to expert skiers who want an everyday ski to explore the mountain at their own pace. You can mount touring bindings on it as well if you like skinning up to the untouched part of the mountain.

What are the Stockli Stormrider 95 freeride ski main assets?

Structure - Construction

  • Construction TiTec  :

This not only looks like metal - it is metal! The titanal material is cross-ground and the design is then sublimated. Next to saving weight the surface is given a unique touch!

  • Light Core  :

Light and stable - the new wood combination of Sabei (Fuma) and ash that make up the lightweight core fulfill just these criteria. Even lighter is balsa wood - one of the lightest woods available and yet best suited for ski construction.

  • Sandwich System  :

Sandwich construction is part of a quality ski. This construction layers different materials chosen for their physical characteristics depending on the characteristics needed for the ski.

  • Tail Flex Control  :

Specially placed rubber inserts mounted on the tail of the ski make turning easier. The tail adapts itself to the moment when the turn triggered until it is released and thus prevents the edges from gripping the snow too long. The entire turn is thus steered via the shovel.

  • Vario Racing Technology

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Ski Binding Marker Griffon 13 ID 110mm White

Marker keeps the lead with their innovations, the Griffon 13 features the SoleID making the binding compatible with any boot carrying the Alpine standard (ISO 5355) and with any touring boot complying with the ISO 9523. It is very easy to adjust and requires only a screwdriver on the toe piece to set the friction plate. The Griffon binding comes with resistant screws. The transversal position of the toe spring and a more compact construction make this binding short and light, ideally suited for all kinds of spins. The new Griffon also comes with the new metal-reinforced heel- and toe-pieces and a wider baseplate allowing better power transmissions on wider skis. This binding is recommended on 76mm+ waisted skis. The height of the toe piece is adjustable in order to get optimal performance with your boots.

This binding does not work with the Head Cube 3 and I-Type ski boots.

Binding technologies

  • Triple Pivot Elite Toe  :

The toe construction with DIN/ISO up to Z 18 allows for impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. In relation to their weight, toes with this technology therefore achieve a never-seen-before performance.

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

  • Inter-Pivot Heel  :

The stunning heel construction delivers superior holding power for free riding, featuring DIN/ISO 6-16. The Inter Pivot Heel directs the power forces in the angle of elasticity improving the holding power and reducing pre-releases.
