A thin rubber pad is inserted between the board and the binding to reduce vibrations and improve feelings. The external "SubBase V" increases the progressive flex.
The trademark power-with-flex structure that Rome brought to snowboarding. Lightweight aluminum pulls up on the toe region of the baseplate to add leverage on heelside turns and it channels power directly into the toeside edge when you lean into the ankle strap. A torsionally forgiving design maintains side-to-side flex while providing this toe-to-heel power. This is a foundation of Flex With Pop.
V-Rods baseplates minimized the contact between your binding and your board. But they do it with a purpose and not just randomlyin all directions. It "rockers" on opposing corners to deliver the FLEX snowboarding demands, and it maintains contact with the narrow "rod" from toe to heel for seamless edge to edge POWER. The narrow footprint also maximizes the board's natural flex pattern.
We feel this is a basic snowboarder human right. Though many others don't, we make sure all our bindings offer highback rotation for letting riders adjust highback position to match their stance angles and their personal styles. Full range from 0 to 24 degrees.
Lightweight, mid-flexing, anatomically correct support, contoured to the spine of your boot
For a quicker entry.
A new design that maximizes the flexible, toe-grabbing surface for pressure-free fit and control
Every Binding we make comes with 3 or more strap positions so you can customize the level of strap support you want.
The only adjustable inbase canting system in snowboarding.
Two inter-changeable pads in the Targa and 390 Boss let you pick 0-degrees or 3.5-degrees for advanced levels of Flex With Pop and Customization. Some riders prefer canting for two primary reasons:
Increased power input into the nose and tail of your board, especially for rocker boards that benefit from more pressure into those regions.
A more anatomically correct and comfortable knee positioning for wide stances—less stress on the knee.
