The Feather is to women what the Clash is to men, an ultra versatile, confidence-inspiring, all-mountain board allowing easy progression on all terrains. Plus, it fits in most budgets and that’s a good point!

What can the Burton Feather snowboard do?

If you want to begin snowboarding you should go for the Feather, a women-specific board designed for enhancing progression and fun. The first days of snowboarding are not easy, you probably know that already, but if you have a board adapted to your level, it changes everything. A soft and mellow flex will help you keep your balance with your feet strapped in and the forgiving profile helps avoiding edge catches and makes the contact feel a lot softer and smoother. The directional shape makes the steering more natural, the board turns effortlessly and does what you want when you want. It’s a good choice for linking the first turns and start exploring the mountain.

Who is the Burton Feather snowboard designed for?

The Feather is a women-specific board best suited for learners. Soft and forgiving, we recommend it to women beginners looking for a progressive board that they can keep for a few seasons. It’s also a good choice for more experienced riders looking for an easy-going board.

Structure - Construction

  • Dualzone™ EGD™  :

The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.

  • Biax™ Fiberglass  :

    Features a jib-friendly, low-torsional flex and forgiving, park-friendly feel.

  • FSC™ Certified Super Fly 800G Core  :

Lightened up and loaded with pop, our dual-species wood core utilizes dual-density vertical laminations of alternating softwood/hardwwood to reduce overall weight with no sacrifce in strength or performance.

  • Squeezebox Low  :

With an overall easier feel, Squeezebox Low brings high-end core profiling technology to the progressing rider. Stiffer zones just outside your feet create a more direct energy transfer to the tip and tail, while enabling a softer, smoother flex between the bindings. The end result is more control with less effort from the rider.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Directional shape  :

Classic shape for a versatile use. The nose is slightly longer than the tail.

Rocker - Camber

  • Flat Top  :

New profile : flat between the feet and rockered tips. Allows even more stability, balance and control.

  • Cruise Control  :

This catch-free edge tune combines with rocker on the Clash™ and Feather™ to help new riders progress, and good riders get even better.

  • Filet-O-Flex  :

Some riders want a more flexible board without sacrificing performance. Filet-O-Flex solves that challenge with ultra-thin profiling that creates soft boards that rip with maximum stability, durability, and grip. An additional benefit is subtle suspension and underfoot padding

  • Flex Twin  :

Symmetrical flex, from nose to tail, for a perfect balance when riding switch or regular.

  • Extruded base  :

Fast and versatile, this extruded base is easy to maintain.

  • The Channel  :

Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, The ChannelM6 has staked its claim as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that acts as a backbone for the board’s internal tech, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles with all binding formats including EST™, Re:Flex™, and Disc. The upgrade to M6 means Burton is now using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with select competitor bindings, making it a choice for any rider.
