Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

There it is, the 2018 Genie is back in Burton’s lineup. If last year’s version was looking like it had been paint sprayed, the new version screams for poetry thanks to the artist Helen Musselwhite. This gorgeous board is a tribute to nature and shall definitely help women riders move like a fox and fly like an owl through the obstacles the mountain throws at them.

What can the Burton Genie snowboard do?

The Genie is a bit like a magic carpet, it rides on its own! Ok, that may not be completely true but still, the Genie makes riding easy. It flies over the obstacles and it adapts to the terrains with ease. The board turns in a predictable way, it feels smooth and catch free thanks to the Flat Top camber and the Easy Bevel edges. The Genie is versatile and ideally suited to discover the joys of snowboarding!

Who is the Burton Genie women’s snowboard designed for?

This is the perfect board to begin with. The Genie is agile, forgiving and effortless, ideally suited for women beginners who want a soft flexing board that rides intuitively. Everything feels smooth and easy with the Genie.

Structure - Construction

  • Biaxial Fiberglass  :

Weaved biaxial fiberglass are positioned at 0°/90° for more torsional flex. Great performance at carving or park.

  • Squeezebox Low  :

With an overall easier feel, Squeezebox Low brings high-end core profiling technology to the progressing rider. Stiffer zones just outside your feet create a more direct energy transfer to the tip and tail, while enabling a softer, smoother flex between the bindings. The end result is more control with less effort from the rider.

  • FSC™ Certified Fly® 900g Core  :

Our classic tip-to-tail wood core, the 900g model utilizes the best of two wood species to lighten the load by 10% without sacrificing flex, pop or strength.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Shape Twin  :

Shape perfectly symetric for keeping balance no matter switch or regular. Shape for freestyle : Jib and spins, butters and landings easier.

Rocker - Camber

  • Flat Top  :

New profile : flat between the feet and rockered tips. Allows even more stability, balance and control.

Other

  • Easy Bevel  :

Easy Bevel gives riders an incredibly soft and forgivingboard that's virtually impossible to catch an edge on. With a convex base that lifts the edges off the snow and a super soft flex, these boards make it easy to learn balance and board control.

  • Extruded base  :

Fast and versatile, this extruded base is easy to maintain.

  • The Channel  :

Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, The ChannelM6 has staked its claim as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that acts as a backbone for the board’s internal tech, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles with all binding formats including EST™, Re:Flex™, and Disc. The upgrade to M6 means Burton is now using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with select competitor bindings, making it a choice for any rider.
