Flow Blackout 2017
Under its sober and elegant look, the Blackout hides a powerful engine that’s ready to destroy anything the mountain throws at it. It’s hard to put this board in one category as it covers pretty much all styles of modern snowboarding and excels in each. If there was one board to do it all, it would probably be the one.
What can the Flow Blackout snowboard do?
The do-it-all board. There’s nothing else to say. The Blackout is able to do anything and to di it super well. So well that it makes others who watch you feel sick. The board holds the rank of the high-end directional twin in Flow’s line of boards. A ligh construction, reinforced with carbon, a responsive core and more importantly an underfoot camber ensuring hardcore edge control and fast and precise energy transmissions. This makes an all-terrain beast that plows through the mountain and tear it into pieces. Piste, backcountry and even park, the Blackout is precise and powerful no matter the conditions. If you want to carve on a black piste for picking up speed and hit a huge kicker that sends you on pow, all of this with one board, you can, with no hesitation.
Who is the Flow Blackout snowboard designed for?
It’s an excellent choice if you are advanced or expert rider and if you are looking for a high performance board that can follow you anywhere in the mountain. The Blackout is a board that has no favourite playground, it likes to ride anywhere as long as it involves speed. The only thing is that the board is physically and technically demanding.

Flow's lightest and most responsive core gives you the highest strength-to-weight wood construction known to man. Focused response where you need it, and more low-to-mid-density woods in specificlocations throughout the board increase strength while decreasing weight, and make your ride all that much easier.
Quadrax has most fibers running tip-to-tail at a 30 degree angle, and 10 vertically stitched carbon stringers outside of the inserts in a 5 and 5 pattern. This glass/carbon composite matrix gives the board tons of pop with torsionnal freedom while distributing binding power over a larger area.
Smooth with tons of grip, The 3D Transitional sidecut blend is uniquely different between the feet, mellow for I-Rock and super tight for Pop-Cam boards. Mellow tips and aggressive radius in the binding areas gives unlimited grip for an overall super smooth agile ride.
Our Pop-Cam is a three-phase camber to make the most fun cambered snowboard on the market. Under the feet is a traditional camber that is flat between the bindings for added grip on ice, better float in the pow and to lock onto rails, while the tips are mellow for a more forgiving ride. Pop where you need it!
The Flow Kush Control Technology consists of 3 unique urethan features strategically placed in the base, sidewall and topsheet to create the smoothest andstrongest snowboards available on the hill. Urethane is flexible and highly resistant to impacts in extremly cold temperatures. Urethane is also utilized due to its superior bonding properties and can withstand the abuse taht a snowboard endures. The dampening properties of urethane act like skateboards wheels and provide you the smoothest ride possible.
