Flow Whiteout 2017

Snowboard Flow Whiteout

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

Purely designed for the white room, the Whiteout is a souped up version of the notorious Drifter, for those who want their board to respond instantly even if this means sacrificing a bit of playfulness.

What can the Flow Whiteout snowboard do?

The Whiteout is a gorgeous all-mountain board perfectly suited for hard charging riders. Its twin shape makes it better in the freestyle category and turns it into a park and backcountry weapon for those who like to spin and destroy features with style. Its camber (higher than on the Drifter), makes it a touch less versatile or at least more demanding than its little sister. Having fun on powder is still possible but it will require more technique or more speed for staying afloat. On the other hand, the board performs better on hard snow where its edge bite gets boosted and the ride feels livelier than ever. It’s a responsive board loaded with pop, ideally suited for versatile riders who see opportunities of tricks everywhere on the slopes.

Who is the Flow Whiteout snowboard designed for?

It’s the definition of an all-rounder and we thoroughly recommend it to freestyle oriented riders with high technical skills. Indeed, the board is lively and a little demanding. Not anybody can tame it.

Structure - Construction

  • Triax fibreglass with Carbon  :

Our TriAxial composites have additionnal fibers running at a 45 degree angle, plus 7 vertically stitched carbon stringers centered with the inserts. This Glass/Carbon composite matrix gives ample pop with torsional stability.

  • ReFlex Core  :

Flow's lightest and most responsive core gives you the highest strength-to-weight wood construction known to man. Focused response where you need it, and more low-to-mid-density woods in specificlocations throughout the board increase strength while decreasing weight, and make your ride all that much easier.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • 3-DT Sidecut  :

Smooth with tons of grip, The 3D Transitional sidecut blend is uniquely different between the feet, mellow for I-Rock and super tight for Pop-Cam boards. Mellow tips and aggressive radius in the binding areas gives unlimited grip for an overall super smooth agile ride.

  • Shape : True Twin  :

Nose and tail perfectly symmetrical, the inserts are centered, you won't be able to see the difference between regular and switch riding.

Rocker - Camber

  • Pop-Cam  :

Our Pop-Cam is a three-phase camber to make the most fun cambered snowboard on the market. Under the feet is a traditional camber that is flat between the bindings for added grip on ice, better float in the pow and to lock onto rails, while the tips are mellow for a more forgiving ride. Pop where you need it!

Other

  • Kush Control Technology  :

The Flow Kush Control Technology consists of 3 unique urethan features strategically placed in the base, sidewall and topsheet to create the smoothest andstrongest snowboards available on the hill. Urethane is flexible and highly resistant to impacts in extremly cold temperatures. Urethane is also utilized due to its superior bonding properties and can withstand the abuse taht a snowboard endures. The dampening properties of urethane act like skateboards wheels and provide you the smoothest ride possible.

  • Sintered 4000  :

PE Sintered base UHMW for a better glide, resistance and wax absorbtion.
