What can the Jones Twin Sister snowboard do?
If you like to be able to return to the chalet and chose a different path every day, you’re going to like the Twin Sister. This women version of the Mountain Twin delivers as much versatility and performance as its male counterpart. Women who love surfing powder or freestyle-oriented riders are going to get on well with the board. Featuring a playful character thanks to rockered nose and tail and twin shape enhancing freestyle-friendliness , the board’s got pop and feels responsive thanks to the camber between the feet. The board offers smooth and intuitive turn entries thanks to the rockers and manoeuvers through the deep with fluidity. Stomp natural kickers or jump off cornices in the backcountry and rely on the board’s support for the nicest landings ever. On hard snow you get a precise edge control with fast energy transmissions and edge to edge transfers. The board inspires confidence and lets you get the speed cranked up no matter the terrain. It’s a board that works super well anywhere, it is the true definition of versatility. Jones did an excellent job there.

Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Magne-Traction improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board. The Flagship, Mountain Twin, and the Solution all feature a refined Magne-Traction design where the bumps are biggest between your bindings for maximum edge control and smaller outside your feet allowing you to feather your turns without catching an edge. Jeremy's Words: Why trust your life to an edge with only two contact points when Magne-Traction gives you the grip of seven points of contact! I have gotten to the bottom of countless steep, icy faces and thanked my Magne-Traction for giving me the edge control to hold on. Magne-Traction is also a key ingredient for rockered board designs. Adding rocker to your board makes it glide more smoothly, but it makes it harder to really lock into your turns and hold a solid edge. Though Magne-Traction on full-camber boards tends to feel too locked in, once I started testing different rocker designs it was clear that Magne-Traction was crucial to offset the drift typical of rocker flex patterns.
Blend of different woods and densities providing lightweight. Better weight/performance/power ratio.
Rubber edge dampening material is made with 100% recycled material.
At the far ends of the side cut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually decreassing the side cut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
Symetric shape for freestyle, directional flex for smooth turns at full speed. Bindings are slightly setback.
Rocker with reverse camber for more forgiveness in park and flat, better floatation on powder.
"How a board glides in powder, crust, corn or any snow condition more than an inch deep is dictated by its front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer board tip without the added length or swing weight. " - Jeremy Jones.
All Jones Snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail plus waxed with OneBallJay Bio wax so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.
A thin piece of film replaces the traditional plastic top sheet. This eliminates plastic and reduces the eight of the boards.
ABS plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. Jones improve the sustainability of our snowboards by using only recycled plastic.
Wastes of P-tex are dramatically reduced, enhancing material performance.
Durable natural base material with added carbon for speed and good wax absorbency.
Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with Wend natural wax
