Snowboard Ride Compact

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

Sweet and pretty were the first words that came to our minds when we saw the Compact. Almost too nice to be ridden. But don’t judge a board by its topsheet. The Compact was designed to be thrown at the mountain and take you anywhere you want to go.

What can the Ride Compact snowboard do?

Here is a sweet little ride by Ride for every lady out there who’d like to expand her range of action on a snowboard. The Compact is a great all-mountain deck that has a slight preference for freestyle although it does perform on all terrains. This freestyle pref is due to its flat midsection which minimises the risk of catching an edge and to its rockered tips making the board more playful and easier to move around. The twin shape also helps, it improves the board’s agility and allows aspiring freestylers to ride switch or land their first 180° or 540° in the park. The rockers also enhance turn initiations, they make them more fluid, more intuitive and natural. You just have a lean on an edge and the board will enter the turn effortlessly. The edge bite is less aggressive and allows riders to build up condidence and link several turns without fearing a painful mistake. The board’s can also deal with ungroomed snow and offers floatation on powder making it the perfect all-rounder for riders on progression.

Who is the Ride Compact snowboard designed for?

Simple and effective, this women-specific board is ideally suited for beginner and intermediate riders looking for an easy and playful deck that they can take anywhere, from piste to park through pow. It wil teach you the basics, it will take you to the next level, and it will make you fall in love with snowboarding.

Structure - Construction

  • Slimewalls®  :

Ride's exclusive Slimewalls are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on. On top of that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding.

  • BIAXIAL Fiberglass  :

90° and 0° angles, for a playful and forgiving board.

  • FOUNDATION core  :

Woodcore running from tip to tail with high longevity.

Rocker - Camber

  • Twin Rocker  :

This twin shape has minimal rocker featuring a long, stable flat zone that extends well beyond the inserts into the tip and tail.

Other

  • FUSION 1500 Base  :

One the industry standard, it absorbs wax and is easy to maintain.
