Snowboard Salomon Gypsy

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Gypsy is the gun of choice of Desiree Melancon and if you watch her videos you’ll understand the actual potential of the board. It’s an iconic board in Salomon’s catalogue as it became a symbol of freestyle. If you plan on winning every single contest you attempt, this board is a safe bet.

What can the Salomon Gypsy snowboard do?

It’s all about freestyle, don’t look any further. The board’s a real twin, full of pop, it’s going to take you through the park, in switch, and it will send you off the biggest kicker without shaking. From nose presses to McTwists, you can dial any trick in your bag and land it with style. Lively and responsive, the board offers support at high speed and remains playful at moderate speed. The rockered tips make presses easier and butters more natural. The board is as good on rails as it is on airs, but it’s definitely better on big features than on the green and blue lines of the park. The board’s got enough versatility to handle other types of snow in case you had to leave the park for a day. Pow or piste, the board deals with both and delivers precise edge control and good floatation. Careful though, it is a park board so it rides a little shorter than other boards which makes it a little less floaty. If you’re looking for backcountry performance, check out the Wonder board.

Who is the Salomon Gypsy snowboard designed for?

Excellent choice if you are an advanced woman rider spending more time in the park than in the bathroom. Rail or air, it performs all over and feels great. Watch out though, the board requires skills and technique even if it does feel playful, you will need a few runs to get used to it but once you do it’s a blast. Stability and pop come with this fantastic park toy.
