Boom, the Basic is back for more! The Yes’ flagship and one of our best-selling boards returns with a simple and elegant look (hence its name) but with a construction far more complicated that that and a high-end finish!

What can the Yes Basic snowboard do?

If you are looking for a board to do it all regardless of the conditions and without having the technique of a pro rider, then the Basic is a safe bet. Its timeless design and its incredible efficiency make this sweet twin board more versatile than a swiss army knife. From the backcountry to the park through pistes and anything in between, it has what it takes for riding on all terrains. Edge control and precision on hard snow along with solid support. The board feels stable even at high speed. In the park, you can rely on its explosive pop that will bridge the gap between the green kicker and the black table. On powder, the board floats pretty naturally and turns on a dime. You don’t struggle to keep the nose afloat and the board keeps manoeuvering effortlessly even when it gets seriously deep. It’s a real good board that has no limits but yours.

Who is the Yes Basic snowboard designed for?

Ease of use and performance are combined in this gem, it’s almost too good to be true. All riders from intermediate to advanced levels are going to have fun with the Basic. Freestyle, freeride, it doesn’t matter much, the board does it all. So, if you’re looking for an efficient all-rounder that’s got pop and character, get your hands on this one!

Structure - Construction

  • Biaxial Fiberglass  :

Weaved biaxial fiberglass are positioned at 0°/90° for more torsional flex. Great performance at carving or park.

  • Poplar WoodCore  :

Woodcores have always been used in the snowboard industry and are well known for their performances in terms of stability, rebounce, dampening and durability.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Shape : True Twin  :

Nose and tail perfectly symmetrical, the inserts are centered, you won't be able to see the difference between regular and switch riding.

  • Shape True Twin / Radial Outline with Underbite Edges  :

Withe success of last years Overbite Edges on the Hel we wanted to see what would happen when we take our own design theories and turn them inside out. The result was a small revolution in board shaping. By stepping in under the bindings it reduces (or disrupts) the surface area of the edge that has contact with snow (while the board is on edge) which in turn increases the edge pressure in the areas where you need it - from binding out, and through the center of the board where the carving arc is taking place.

The Hel is designed to be ridden more aggressively and benefits from the traction associated with bump-outs. The Basic and Emoticon benefit from more subtle re-distribution of your body weight onto areas that help you turn.

Rocker - Camber

  • CamRock  :

The CamRock will give you everything you need for your backcountry line. There is more rocker in the nose to add float and improved maneuverability, matched with a smaller amount of camber under foot to keep your snowboard responsive. A small amount of rocker in the tail will give you stability and maneuverability.

Other

  • Extruded base  :

Fast and versatile, this extruded base is easy to maintain.
