The Greats is back for another season. If you know the brand Yes, you know that every year the Greats pays tribute to people who marked the history. From Martin Luther King to Einstein through riders of legend like Shaun White or John Cardiel, everyone gets his moment of fame. This year, the Greats is remembering Uninc, an old collective of riders founded by the very founders of Yes! #goodmemories

What can the Yes Greats snowboard do?

From a technical point of view, the Greats is a freestyle-oriented board with an all-mountain DNA and a powerful engine under the belt. This means this asymmetrical twin tipped deck can deal with any terrain and any conditions the mountain has to offer. Its new 2017 construction incorporates carbon to give the board a livelier and snappier character with added stability at higher speed. The board is stiff and demanding but if you can tame it, it’ll give you back tons of pop and an incredible edge grip. Ideally suited for long and intense park sesh on the black line or for stomping huge gaps in the backcountry. The board delivers.

Who is the Yes Greats snowboard designed for?

The Greats is for the riders who know what they want and who have the technique to control the beast. The board is a powerful FS all-mountain shred stick and requires an advanced or an expert level to be fully managed. It’s for those who never stop ripping.

Structure - Construction

  • Triax fiberglass  :

Versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred.

  • Poplar + Bamboo core  :

Creating a lighter, more responsive core than the Full Poplar. The Poplar + Bamboo uses the same durable core, lightens it up by replacing 30% of the poplar with paulownia and the inserts two bamboo stringers down the full length for added pop and response.

  • Carbon reinforcement  :

Increases reactivity and aggressivity of the board.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Asym Twin  :

back in the day, asymmetrical boards meant you had to choose between a regular or goofy-stance board. Not only was that a nightmare for retailers, it didn't suit anyone with a duck stance. The Asym Twin applies a tighter, deeper heelside radial sidecut compared to the toe. In effect, balancing out the difference in a body's natural tendency to over-turn the toe edge.

Regular or goofy; it's still a true twin. Just flip it around.

Rocker - Camber

  • CamRock  :

The CamRock will give you everything you need for your backcountry line. There is more rocker in the nose to add float and improved maneuverability, matched with a smaller amount of camber under foot to keep your snowboard responsive. A small amount of rocker in the tail will give you stability and maneuverability.

  • Sintered True base  :

Just like it says. Pellets or course powder is pressed until it forms a solid. There are several suppliers for our entire industry and they each have differentcodes for them, depending on the colour and transparency. These codes can make it seem like you're getting many differents kinds and grades of sintered but they're all pretty much the same as far as you and I will ever tell. True Sintered is harder and more expensive than extruded and it can be faster for those that ride aggressively fast. But to do that, it needs to be waxed and prepared for local conditions.
