The Jones Frontier Split is designed to take you to new horizons, offering you efficiency on ascents with a great surprise on the descents, thanks to its efficient shape and good manoeuvrability. It has a very qualitative construction, using eco-friendly materials such as the FSC-certified wood, ECO-Plastic Topsheet veneer, or bio-sourced glue and wax offering great performance with a good glide thanks to the Sintered 8 000 Base sintered sole.  

What is the program of the Jones Frontier Split snowboard?  

The Frontier Split has a 100% directional design, with a tapered shape, a more backward stretched flex and a setback foot position. All of these features ensure good manoeuvrability, natural ease in curves on all terrain and good powder outings. It is a board that is easy to ride with a well-balanced flex, offering responsiveness and stability while allowing you to link turns without straining. This way you can enjoy your descent with ease, even after a first effort on your hike. Its classic camber and wavy edges, which are also present on the inner edges of the split, provide a secure grip on hard snow during descents but also during ascents. The Ftonrier Split will therefore allow you to evolve in various snow conditions and progress at your own pace in your practice of split.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
