Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

While Jones is known for its freeride and splitboard expertise, one of the brand's most popular boards is also a board with a strong freestyle tendency. Twin directional, the Mountain Twin is very switchable and allows you to place numerous tricks.

What is the program of the Jones Mountain Twin snowboard?

The Mountain Twin is equipped with a wood core reinforced with biaxial glass fibres, as well as a camber + rocker profile that is efficient on all types of snow. It offers pop in ollie, grip on hard snow, remains stable when picking up speed, and lifts off well on softer snow and in powder. Its symmetrical shape allows you to easily navigate or land in switch, which gives you great freestyle options. However, the backwards position of the inserts gives the board an all-mountain feel, making it easier to enter turns and provides a good lift when the snow gets deep. So, this is a board that can be taken out on the piste as well as in the park or in the backcountry, ready for committed rides but also for nice tricks.

Who is the Jones Mountain Twin snowboard for?

Accessible from the intermediate/advanced level, this model will please the versatile snowboarder who likes to vary the terrain, putting rhythm in the descents and performing freestyle, not only in the snowpark but also on the piste sides. It requires nevertheless a little technical knowledge.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
