Description

The Outline features a high-end construction, with a shell combining three wood species, carbon reinforcements and areas using a Honeycomb construction that resembles the architecture of a honeycomb. The result is a light and toned board, with a shape that is efficient on the track while remaining versatile.

What is the program of the K2 Outline snowboard?

With its classic camber and tonic construction, the Outline offers good grip and lots of dynamism and bounce in turns on the piste. Curve entries and edge-to-edge transitions are fluid thanks to the presence of a generous front spatula rocker, which also makes it easier to jump in the powder at the edge of the piste. The slightly reclined position of the inserts also increases manoeuvrability and versatility. The Outline offers really good glide and feel in curves, but it also remains well balanced and playful for freestyle when you have the necessary technical knowledge.

Who is the K2 Outline snowboard intended for?

We recommend this model to snowboarders who mainly stay on the slopes but are looking for versatility in order to avoid limiting themselves. Accessible from the intermediate level for a snowboarder who is not afraid to get into a bit of trouble, this model is perfect for a confirmed or a more advanced snowboarder.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
