Alpine Ski 4FRNT Gaucho

The Gaucho looks different than its previous version but it performs as much if not more so you can be relieved. The ski stands as an excellent freestyle all-mountain ski featuring versatile sidecuts allowing all-terrain shred.

What can the 4FRNT Gaucho do?

This newer version comes with a lighter construction and a stiffer flex than last year’s model. This means the ski is as versatile as it was, but it feels more powerful thanks to a titanal reinforced construction. This gives the ski added stability at high speed, more edge control on hard snow and extra pop in the park. The only limit of the ski is your imagination. Whether you’re in a park mood and feel like destroying all features there or you feel like exploring the mountain and go past the resort’s ropes, you can. The ski handles powder with ease thanks to its 100mm waist and its tip and tail rocker provides tons of manoeuverability on soft snow. You can charge as hard as you want you’ll break the mountain before breaking the ski. Designed for sporty skiers whose favorite playground is the entire mountain, the Gaucho is the ultimate assault weapon that will make you happy.

Who is the 4FRNT Gaucho designed for?

From intermediates to experts, the ski covers all needs. Least experienced skiers may need a bit of time to get familiar and comfortable with the powerful construction of the ski though. But once you tame it, it’s all about fun. The ski is a ripper that handles any terrain, any conditions and any tricks. An absolute blast.

Structure - Construction

  • Megablock Core  :

Ash and beech create our most dense and damp core composition used for all mountain dominance.

  • Semi-Cap Construction  :

Sandwich construction with the topsheet covering the sidewall, providing reinforcement.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Rocker technology  :

Maximizes performance on deep snow. Camber is designed so that the pressure points are higher which enhances floatation and manoeuvrability on powder.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Binding technologies

  • Triple Pivot Elite Toe  :

The toe construction with DIN/ISO up to Z 18 allows for impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. In relation to their weight, toes with this technology therefore achieve a never-seen-before performance.

  • Touring mode  :

    Walk mode for touring

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.
