Alpine Ski Black Crows Anima

The Black Crows Anima comes back again this year for its second season. This epic ski didn’t change and still provides stunning freeride performances. Its construction stays close to last year’s model with a playful dual rocker and a classic camber underfoot. The 21m radius predestines it to shred powder, the poplar core has been optimised with new kevlar blades, a light and resistant material.

What can the Black Crows Anima ski do?

This alpine ski straddles both freeride and freestyle backcountry worlds without making any sacrifices in either. Its 115mm waist for the 188cm ski and the tip and tail rocker provide an amazing buoyancy in powder and a stunning handiness. You can attack any powder-loaded faces of the mountain, the Black Crows Anima will smash everything on its path, even if it might lack a bit of grip on the hardest snow. If this ski is that incredible in backcountry thanks to its Double Beak shape, you can also ride it both ways. Land a massive road gap in switch, a 540 down a cliff...dish out everything you can, sky's the limit.

Whoi is the Black Crows Anima ski designed for?

So many of us have been dreaming about such a freeride ski, but you need to stay awake because to offer powder performances that insane, the Anima stays demanding and is only shaped for expert riders riding in Canada or in Japan and shooting their own ski movie.

What are the main assets of the Black Crows Anima ski?

Floats in powder

Structure - Construction

  • Laminated woodcore  :

Woodcores have been used in the ski industry for ages. Thanks to its mechanical properties, its durability and the amount of possible combinations in terms of flex and torsion, wood remains the reference for top-of-range cores. They provide stability, rebounce, eliminate vibrations, and are extremely durable.

  • Semi Cap  :

Semi-capped sidewalls are a good way to unify the sides with the top of the ski and maintain the strength of vertical sidewalls.

    Facilitates rotation.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Double Beak  :

Classic camber & double rocker: all-terrain, float, endurance, adaptability.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.
