Alpine Ski Black Crows Navis Birdie

Black Crows designers went hard on the Navis Birdie  that comes back again this year even flashier and girlier than ever. What a pleasure to see this women's freeride ski, the construction is as amazing as the finish is, with an extra wide waist of 102mm, a directional shape, a tip rocker and an early raised tail. Great handiness and sensations ahead on every single run.

What can the Black Crows Navis Birdie ski do?

Riders who love freeride will fall in love with the 2017 Navis Birdie.  The buoyancy in powder is simply stunning. Once in the steep, the sidecut and the big tip rocker provide an astounding efficiency. The Navis Birdie is ready to obey your every command, it floats itself and turns on the spot. You want to charge any lines with speed and confidence, you can lay trenches on any virgen faces of the mountain with the Navis Birdie, drop any cornices and cliffs on the way and slalom between the trees. The slope won’t be its cup of tea but it will provide a good grip and will stay stable to go to the next chairlift.

Who is the Black Crows Navis Birdie ski designed for?

Back Crows’ engineers developed this little jewel for confirmed and expert riders looking for a powerful ski on all terrains and especially to shred powder. It is not physically too demanding, even riders who want to work on their technique will love the Navis Birdie.

Structure - Construction

  • Laminated woodcore  :

Woodcores have been used in the ski industry for ages. Thanks to its mechanical properties, its durability and the amount of possible combinations in terms of flex and torsion, wood remains the reference for top-of-range cores. They provide stability, rebounce, eliminate vibrations, and are extremely durable.

  • Semi Cap  :

Semi-capped sidewalls are a good way to unify the sides with the top of the ski and maintain the strength of vertical sidewalls.

    Facilitates rotation.

Technology

  • Single beak and a half  : progressive rocker in the tip, camber underfoot, slightly raised tail.

Binding technologies

  • Triple Pivot Elite Toe  :

The toe construction with DIN/ISO up to Z 18 allows for impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. In relation to their weight, toes with this technology therefore achieve a never-seen-before performance.

  • Touring mode  :

    Walk mode for touring

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.
