Alpine Ski Black Crows Navis

Black Crows is one of the best wizard to make freeride ski appear. The engineers developed different widths and shapes to fit every rider’s need. The Navis is a mid fat which held all its promises along the years. The wide open spaces seekers love this modern and versatile ski with a classic camber to have a good grip on hard snow, and a tip rocker and a early raised tail to stay on the surface.

What can the Black Crows Navis ski do?

This perfect bushwacker has the ability to play on all terrains and in any snow conditions. It excels in deep where its generous sidecut and its tip rocker allow it to float naturally and maneuver without effort. On a wonderful freeride line in backcountry or in the fresh powder on the side of the piste, the Navis is like a duck to water. It turns shorter than its big brother the Corvus and stays nimble and super accurate thanks to its lightened poplar core and its flat tail. It makes the difference on hard and prepared snow where it will pass without difficulty for a freeride ski of that caliber.

Who is the Black Crows Navis ski designed for?

This freeride ski is designed for confirmed and expert riders looking for a great powder ski able to come back on the slopes from time to time. The Navis is less energy hungry than the Corvus and should please a wide public again this year.

What are the main assets of the Black Crows Navis ski?

Structure - Construction

  • Laminated woodcore  :

Woodcores have been used in the ski industry for ages. Thanks to its mechanical properties, its durability and the amount of possible combinations in terms of flex and torsion, wood remains the reference for top-of-range cores. They provide stability, rebounce, eliminate vibrations, and are extremely durable.

  • Semi Cap  :

Semi-capped sidewalls are a good way to unify the sides with the top of the ski and maintain the strength of vertical sidewalls.

    Facilitates rotation.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Single beak and a half  : progressive rocker in the tip, camber underfoot, slightly raised tail.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.
