Alpine Ski Dynafit Seven Summits 2.0

The Seven Summits 2.0 is a staple in Dynafit’s catalogue so it’s not a surprise to see it returning for 2017. It is the definition of a touring ski. Ultra light and ready for climbing the highest mountains, the iconic ski is back with gorgeous brown and blue graphics. The ski construction mirrors its previous version with the same poplar / paulownia woodcore, minimalist sidewalls and carbon tip. The Seven Summits 2.0 weight 1330g in 171cm.

What can the Dynafit Seven Summits 2.0 touring ski do?

It is a talented touring ski suitable for all terrains and all conditions. Its super light construction makes it very efficient when the path points uphill and so do its sidecuts, its narrow waist makes kick turns easy and effortless. If you combine it with a light touring boot you get a great combo that’s gonna help you save lots of efforts! On the descent, the ski works very well too, its tip and tail rockers provide tons of manoeuvering on soft snow and makes you forget about the skinny underfoot. The Triple Radius technology allows more edge bite on hard snow and more precision throughout the turns. In the end, the Seven Summits 2.0 is a fantastic touring ski that sticks to its reputation of performance and versatility.

Who is the Dynafit Seven Summits 2.0 touring ski designed for?

If standing on top of the seven highest summits of the planet is on your bucket list, the Seven Summit from Dynafit is a good choice. Suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers looking for the ultimate lightweight quiver with minimum compromise on performance.

What are the main assets of the Dynafit Seven Summits 2.0  ?

Structure - Construction

  • Carbon Speed Stringer  :

Optimised weight-performance ratio without using carbon is almost unthinkable. The Dynafit lightweight construction systems are designed to enable you to increase the torsional rigidity of our boot-binding systems at any time, to allow more athletic handling and turn up the speed for tour descents. That’s why Dynafit sees the use of carbon roving stringer at the girt as a natural progression. This optimises the ski’s vibration damping capability and ability to regain its original position without having to sacri ce any of the ski’s forgiving and friendly handling or its wide application range.

  • Flex Tip  :

With its carbon 3D construction, the Flex Tip associates lightweight, durability and dampening. Like a suspension fork on a mountain bike, shocks are absorbed while carbon inserts guarantee stability and reactivity. The 3D geometry kelps reducing weight with a thinner tip construction.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

  • Scoop Rocker  :

The smoothly increasing radius of curvature to the tip of the ski gives it an exceptionally harmonic stability in curves during frontal impacts. When going through spring snow or crust, the SCOOP ROCKER provides a smooth descent like having shock absorbers under you.

Various

  • Pintail  :

Floatability is less important at high speed which allows to have a more relaxed and natural position on your skis. The specific shape of the skis makes them easier to carry on a bag as well.

  • Triple Radius  :

The 20m radius under the binding offers effective edge control on hard and icy terrains. This geometry was specifically designed for wide skis. The smaller radius featured in the stiffer zones ensures optimal safety on hard and icy grounds.

Binding technologies

    Walk mode for touring

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

  • Hollow Linkage Heel  :

The heel was also redesigned from the ground up to guarantee optimal retention for all types of alpine and touring soles. The aluminium hollow axle saves on weight and maximizes the torsional stiffness. This very robust heel construction is best suited for the most strenuous of requirements.

  • Triple Pivot Light  :

The newly designed, compact toe features a horizontally inserted spring. Together with the gliding plate the gliding elements integrated into the sole plates ensure a very precise release behaviour which is comparable to all other Marker bindings. Why should tourers and freestylers make any compromises? An aluminium bridge on the top provides additional support without adding any extra weight.
