Fischer Pro MTN 2017

Alpine Ski Fischer Pro MTN 86 Ti

After several years of commitment and loyal services, the Motive 86 Ti retires to let the place to the Pro MTN 86 Ti, a powerful and stiff alpine ski in all snow conditions. Fischer came up with an ultra modern ski with an super light construction. It is endowed with the Air Tec Ti technology: a gouged out wood core and carbon inserts on tip and tail. Cheery on the cake, the look of the Pro MTN 86 Ti is hyper fun with sidewalls and edges with the same flashy colour that gives the impression that you have neon light under your skis.

What can the Fischer Pro MTN 86 Ti ski do?

This ski pushes even further the limits of the all-mountain ski. Its big tip rocker and its slight tail rocker allow it to play in the powder with an incredible ease. The ski floats itself and its 86mm waist is wide enough to go through the fresh powder on the side of the slopes and smear in all transformed snow.  The Pro MTN 86 Ti is way better than the competition on the pistes where it delivers a stunningly accurate glide, an impeccable stability and a powerful hold. This alpine ski is perfect to really get into carving and to attack any steeps.

Who is the Fischer Pro MTN 86 Ti ski designed for?

This new Fischer ski is developed for a wide public. Intermediate skiers can work on their technique in any snow conditions. The Pro MTN 86 Ti doesn’t require an olympic condition and will also seduce expert skiers looking for an insane all terrains ski with a great quality/price ratio.

What are the main assets of the Fischer Pro MTN 86 Ti ski?

Structure - Construction

  • Air Carbon Ti 0.5  :

Woodcore with an upper and lower layer of titanal, reinforced with Air Carbon (Ultra light and resistant core). This gives the ski added edge traction and more fluidity.

  • Air Tec Ti  :

The wood core Air Tec was minutely milled and unbalanced, what allowed to relieve it of 25 % while keeping its excellent properties. A titanal layer allied to this core allows to preserve flex and stifness in twisting.

  • Carbon Nose  :

Thin tip featuring a layer of carbon enhancing both agility and stability.

  • Razorshape  : Levelled sidewalls give the ski its special, razor-sharp shape. First and foremost, of course, this saves weight. On the other hand, however, this new, distinctive ski shape offers sporty on-piste skiers additional speed and action as it has a smaller contact surface in the snow.
  • Sandwich Sidewall Construction  :

Woodcore combined with ABS sidewalls in a classic sandwich construction, for a homogeneous flex and a perfect rebound.

  • Free Milled Titanium

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • All Mountain Rocker  :

The length of the ski/snow contact surface has been shortened for easier turn initiations and less efforts required.

Binding technologies

  • Touring mode  :

The patented, ergonomically shaped lever under the boot allows comfortable opening and closing. The position prevents the binding from unwanted release and provides unparalleled security against an undesired “telemark“ situation.

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

  • Hollow Linkage Heel  :

The heel was also redesigned from the ground up to guarantee optimal retention for all types of alpine and touring soles. The aluminium hollow axle saves on weight and maximizes the torsional stiffness. This very robust heel construction is best suited for the most strenuous of requirements.

  • Triple Pivot Light  :

The compact toe features a horizontally inserted spring. Together with the gliding plate the gliding elements integrated into the sole holders ensure a very precise release behaviour which is comparable to all other MARKER bindings. Why should touring skiers and freestylers accept any compromises? An aluminium bridge on the top provides additional support without adding any extra weight.
