Alpine Ski Movement Fly Smasher

You were dreaming about a light fat ski, strong and ultra fun for epic freeride runsthen the Movement Fly Smasher  is custom shaped for you. This men’s big mountain ski is propulsed by a carbon reinforced poplar core and a dual rocker that deliver an astounding handiness. If you have never tried a 5 points sidecut ski you wouldn’t believe how nimble and playful the Fly Smasher can be on all terrains.

What can the  Movement Fly Smasher ski do?

More accessible than its big brother the Fly Swatter, this freeride ski is made to gun down the hill at max speed and ride beautiful lines effortlessly. Its buoyancy in powder is impressive if you have 10cm or a meter of fresh pow underfoot. The tip rocker keeps it on the surface and allows you to have a blast without burning your thighs. Unlike the Swatter, the Fly Smasher has more abilities to come back on the slopes when the powder is lacking. Its classic camber provides a great grip on hard and prepared snow while the dual rocker eases the turns. In the end the Fly Smasher is an amazing versatile freeride ski, you won’t be disappointed.

Who is the Movement Fly Smasher ski designed for?

Virgin powder lovers, if you have good skills and you are looking for a stunning freeride ski also playful on the slopes, jump on the Movement Fly Smasher.

Structure - Construction

  • Construction CTS performance Plus
  • Dynamic Light Tri-Axial + Carbon  :

This structure delivers a stiff flex and resists to torsion. It is lighter than the standard tri-axial. The addition of carbon makes the ski even more reactive.

  • Unidirectional fibreglass and carbon
  • Poplar Core  :

Wood is alive, strong and resilient, and guarantees the ski’s continued resilience and longevity. MOVEMENT skis use only PURE wood cores; no synthetic or composite synthetic/wood cores (wood with injected foam) – (except kids skis). These cores are shaped from the most select materials, and are very accurately calibrated for the optimum result. We certify that the origin of our wood cores are FSC or PEFC. We have eliminated in our wood core assembly process the use of toxic adhesives.

    Poplar core

  • VA-TECH  :

The VATECH system is a layer of vibration-dampening rubber inserted under the binding, for better edge grip and a smoother ride. The NOSE VATECH system replaces the ABS plate on skis with a tip wider than 135 mm. This rubber layer smoothes the ride and dampens vibration of extra-wide tips.

Rocker - Camber

  • P-Tex base 4000 1.3mm  :

High density base for a better performance and a longer lasting base.

Binding technologies

  • Climbing Aid (Kingpin)  :

Good climbing aids have one thing in common: Whatever the situation, they can be operated by feel, even when the skier can't see them clearly. Simplicity is a virtue here, and reduced exertion is even better. The KINGPIN wins hearts and minds through two integrated climbing aids (7° and 13°) that are easily deployed or stowed using the basket of the pole. They can also be operated conveniently using the tip of the pole, allowing them to work with any basket style. Because the climbing aids are positioned in the upper center of the heel piece, they are always easy to reach.

  • Kingpin toe piece  :

The PinTech design on the KingPin toe piece promotes an ergonomic rolling up the foot and the most direct possible connection to the ski. Six steel springs capture the energy optimally, up to a DIN setting of 13. Individually adjustable positioning blocks make it quick and easy to step in no matter what the conditions.

  • Kingpin heel lifts  :

    Easy to use

The KINGPIN has three heel lifts integrated into the heel piece  : 0°, 7° and 13°. These lifts are easily adjustable with the tip of a pole. They are placed in the middle of the heel piece for quick access.

  • Kingpin Heel piece  :

The revolutionary heel construction for the PinTech bindings features wide sole contact points to deliver the kind of direct, lossless power transfer more frequently seen in alpine bindings. The KingPin heel is also many times safer than traditional PinTech bindings.
