Nordica NRGY 2017

Alpine Ski Nordica NRGy 80

Here comes the NRGY 80 again this winter, this all terrains slope ski. Thanks to its reinforced wood core, a thin titanium plate and a dual rocker, it is able to tackle any snow conditions.

What can the Nordica NRGY 80 ski do?

The NRGY 80 is part of the all-mountain serie with only 80mm on the waist, it is a more a slope 4x4 than a freeride ski. The classic camber is long enough to deliver a great grip while the dual rocker make the turns more intuitive than ever. If the NRGY 80 is super fun on groomed runs, it becomes even better when the snow conditions are getting worst, in the fresh powder or in the soft spring snow. The rockers come into action and allow to ride with dexterity and the glide becomes a pure joy. The patterned tail eases the manoeuvres and the 80mm waist is wide enough not to sink in deep. This ski is ideal for spring vacation when the snow becomes slushy under 2000m.

Who is the Nordica NRGY 80 ski designed for?

We advise this all-mountain ski for intermediate and confirmed skiers who like the slopes but also want to play on every terrains to enjoy what the whole mountain has to offer.

What are the main assets of the Nordica NRGY 80 ski?

Snappy

Grip on the slope

Float in soft snow

Structure - Construction

  • iCore Ti  :

i-Core Ti (Full Woodcore) with Torsion Bridge technology has allowed us to build the next generation of All Mountain skis. Byremovingspecifically engineered geometric shapes from a full sheet of Titanal, the Torsion Bridge provides our all new NRGy skis with the performance of metal without the extra weight and sluggishness that typically comes with a traditionally constructed metal ski.

Combining this torsion bridge technology with our new exceptionally light full wood i-Core Ti core, results in a revolutionary construction that is extremely lightweight yet torsionally strong and confidence inspiring in all conditions and terrain.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Camrock All Mountain  :

All Mountain camROCK technology pulls the traditional contact point of the tip back about 25% creating slight tip rocker to aid the camber under foot. The result — increased floatation, velocity and maneuverability in soft snow as well as significantly increased easy of turn initiation in any condition.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Binding technologies

  • Touring mode  :

    Walk mode for touring

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

  • Hollow Linkage Heel  :

The heel was also redesigned from the ground up to guarantee optimal retention for all types of alpine and touring soles. The aluminium hollow axle saves on weight and maximizes the torsional stiffness. This very robust heel construction is best suited for the most strenuous of requirements.

  • Triple Pivot Light  :

The newly designed, compact toe features a horizontally inserted spring. Together with the gliding plate the gliding elements integrated into the sole plates ensure a very precise release behaviour which is comparable to all other Marker bindings. Why should tourers and freestylers make any compromises? An aluminium bridge on the top provides additional support without adding any extra weight.
