Nordica Santa Ana 2017

Alpine Ski Nordica Santa Ana 93

Here comes another novelty on the 2017 Nordica’s catalogue: the Santa Ana 93 is the little brother of the Santa Ana, a powerful and flashy women’s freeride ski. This beautiful blade is a bit narrower with a 93mm waist, but it is endowed like the famous model with a big tip rocker, a slight tail rocker associated to a classic camber. To make the glide even funner and effortless, the Santa Ana 93 offers an ultra light balsa.

What can the Nordica Santa Ana 93 ski do?

Designed like a modern all-mountain ski adapted to the fairer sex morphology, the Santa Ana 93 is a killer on the slopes and in powder. It is super nimble and grips great on hard snow. You just have to lean on the side to allow the tip rocker to come into action and to initiate the turn intuitively. The ski is really snappy and reacts to any of your moves, you can smear beautiful lines with accuracy even at max speed. The Santa Ana 93 is amazing in the powder where the buoyancy will keep you afloat, not as powerful on big powder days as its big brother the Santa Ana is, but it still delivers tons of fun. Really good to ski on the side of the slopes and out of bounds.

Who is the Nordica Santa Ana 93 ski designed for?

More versatile and accessible than the original version, this new Santa Ana 93 is advised to confirmed and expert riders looking for an all-mountain ski especially designed for you ladies.

What are the main assets of the Nordica Santa Ana 93 ski?

Light balsa core

Buoyancy

Manufacturer info :

Type of turns

  • Long turns

Shape

  • Directional (front tip)  :

The ski shape allows only a directional use.

Structure - Construction

  • Balsa Core CA  :

Balsa core is a carbon structure with thin layers of balsa offering a burly and powerful feel with extreme lightweight.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Camrock All Mountain  :

All Mountain camROCK technology pulls the traditional contact point of the tip back about 25% creating slight tip rocker to aid the camber under foot. The result — increased floatation, velocity and maneuverability in soft snow as well as significantly increased easy of turn initiation in any condition.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Binding technologies

  • Triple Pivot Elite Toe  :

The toe construction with DIN/ISO up to Z 18 allows for impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. In relation to their weight, toes with this technology therefore achieve a never-seen-before performance.

  • Touring mode  :

    Walk mode for touring

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.
