Alpine Ski Scott Adventure

The Adventure is the hybrid result of a Venture blended into a Crusade. It has the sidecuts of the former and the flexibility of the latter, which leads to a nice powder ski boasting a 96mm waist and lots of horsepower. Featuring a tip to tail woodcore giving it response and precision, coupled with a venturi tip absorbing any shock or vibration, the ski glides with an astonishing fluidity on any terrain the mountain has to offer. The Adventure is a name that suits it well.

What our testers say: Comfortable, easy to manage and ridiculously versatile are the three things that came to mind when testing it. Best suited for advanced skiers, it floats on powder naturally and it's stiff enough to destroy crud and other obstacles you may find on your way. It's a little more demanding than The Ski technically speaking, but it requires fewer efforts, physically speaking. An excellent compromise for those who want a new ski that does it all.

Type of turns

  • Multi-turns

  • Directional (front tip)  :

The ski shape allows only a directional use.

Weight of the pair in grams

Structure - Construction

  • Tip to tail woodcore  :

The long woodcore gives the ski a more consistent flex and more fluidity through transitions.

  • SSC Lam - Sandwich Sidewall Construction Laminate  :

Sandwich construction with slanted sidewalls, laminated reinforcements and cap finish.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Venturi-Tip Rocker M  :

Venturi-Tip Rocker combines a hollowed tip with a rocker shape. The resulting Venturi-Tip Rocker design allows for great float and better tracking, yielding a highly versatile performer in variable conditions.

    +Excellent float and turn initiation

+Offers stability at high speeds in all conditions

+Reduces surface pressure resulting in improved ski handling

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

  • Dual Radius  :

Traditional skis have a fixed radius that determines the length of every turn. SCOTT skis combine two radii (dual radius) to create the sidecut or “shape” of the ski. By incorporating the Dual Radius concept, the ski can turn when you want it to turn, resulting in a more versatile ski which is not confined to one type of skiing or terrain.

  • Factory Finish  :

SCOTT skis come direct from the factory "ready to ski" with SCOTT factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.

Binding technologies

  • Triple Pivot Elite Toe  :

The toe construction with DIN/ISO up to Z 18 allows for impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. In relation to their weight, toes with this technology therefore achieve a never-seen-before performance.

  • Touring mode  :

    Walk mode for touring

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.
