Alpine Ski Scott Cascade 95

With the Mountain Skis series, Scott releases a range of skis designed to place the whole mountain within reach. Jointly developped by Scott’s engineers and mountain guides, these ultra-light skis perform up and downhill in all conditions.

What can the Scott Cascade 95 do?

The men in white have been working hard in the labs, that’s the least we can say when we take a look at the Cascade 95. It is a brand new ski in Scott’s Mountain series and it has technical features that speak for themselves. Very similar to the Cascade 110 but with a narrower platform, the ski is a touch less demanding and delivers exceptional performance in the backcountry. Best suited for riding on powder, the ski comes with 3D sidecuts and a twin tip rocker both enhancing floatiness and manoeuverability through the deep.
The ski likes to go fast and is technical. Its ultralight paulownia woodcore turns the Cascade 95 into a tourer if needed while its 95mm waist offers great versatility on harder snow.

Who is the Scott Cascade 95 designed for?

The Cascade 95 is a good opportunity if you want to get yourself into touring. It offers a good compromise between lightweight and downhill performance and it backs you up with tons of versatility. Excellent choice no matter what’s your favorite terrain.

Structure - Construction

  • Tip to tail woodcore  :

The long woodcore gives the ski a more consistent flex and more fluidity through transitions.

  • Sandwich Sidewall Construction Paulownia  :

LIGHTNESS & EFFICIENCY - By combining a Paulownia wood core with Carbon stringer laminates, SCOTT created a super lightweight ski with a great flex and torsional rigidity.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Twin-Tip Rocker M  :

Twin rocker places rocker on both the tip and tail of twin tip skis to allow for maximum float when riding forward or switch. Tail rocker also improves ski handling by allowing the tail of the ski to sit deeper in the snow bringing the tip up resulting in total domination is deep snow.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Various

  • 3D Sidecut  :

Revolutionary technology combining 2 radius with a central straight sidecut, allowing twin rocker skis to be brilliant on off pist with an excellent edge grip on pistes.

  • Factory Finish  :

SCOTT skis come direct from the factory "ready to ski" with SCOTT factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.

Binding technologies

  • Triple Pivot Elite Toe  :

The toe construction with DIN/ISO up to Z 18 allows for impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. In relation to their weight, toes with this technology therefore achieve a never-seen-before performance.

  • Touring mode  :

    Walk mode for touring

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.
