Alpine Ski Scott Sagebrush

Scott unveils their new Sun Valley lineup, including all-terrain skis blending innovation and performance wrapped in a vintage look.

What can the Scott Sagebrush do?

The Sagebrush is a new ski in Scott’s lineup, freshly released out of the lab and ready to show what it’s got inside! The ski is an all-rounder, comfortable on any terrain the mountain throws at it. It has got a lively and stiff construction requiring strong legs to roll it onto its edge. But that means the ski is powerful, suited for charging hard on the slopes. Its rockered tip and its generous sidecuts boost the ski performance on powder where it manoeuvers like a snake and soars with style over the surface. When conditions aren’t that great you can rely on the stiff flex to keep your carving performance on groomers at best. You will easily forget that the ski is 100mm wide under the feet as it rolls from an egde to the other very fast and turns with precision. You will appreciate how short the ski can turn and how snappy it feels. The Sagebrush is a true multitasker for hard charging riders who need a reliable ski for shredding the whole mountain.

Who is the Scott Sagebrush designed for?

These new skis, inspired from the Black Majic and The Ski by Scott, are suited for advanced and expert riders looking for stiff and powerful pair of sticks. If you have the skills, it is definitely the kind of ski you can ride every day.

Structure - Construction

  • Tip to tail woodcore  :

The long woodcore gives the ski a more consistent flex and more fluidity through transitions.

  • SSCL E  : VERSATILITY & PERFORMANCE - SCOTT’s Elliptical Sandwich construction offers exceptional torsional stiffness while providing a consistent and confident flex, delivering precise edge control.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Pro-Tip 320 mm  :

By incorporating a progressive tip height radius, SCOTT skis simply track better than the competition. SCOTT's Pro-Tip produces a more consistent ski flex and predictable turns. Pro-Tip is available in three heights 300mm (Precision On-Piste), 350mm (All-Mountain) and 375mm (Full Freeride). Tip Rocker 320 mm.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

Various

  • 3D Sidecut  :

Revolutionary technology combining 2 radius with a central straight sidecut, allowing twin rocker skis to be brilliant on off pist with an excellent edge grip on pistes.

  • Factory Finish  :

SCOTT skis come direct from the factory "ready to ski" with SCOTT factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.

  • Pre Track  :

When developing Pre-Track, SCOTT designed skis with wide tips and/or slightly turned up tails. With Pre-Track, SCOTT skis employ a smaller effective edge for short radius turns on groomed slopes and a longer effective edge when making bigger turns or skiing off-piste. The result is a more precise, stable, reliable and versatile ski.

Binding technologies

  • Touring mode  :

    Walk mode for touring

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

  • Hollow Linkage Heel  :

The heel was also redesigned from the ground up to guarantee optimal retention for all types of alpine and touring soles. The aluminium hollow axle saves on weight and maximizes the torsional stiffness. This very robust heel construction is best suited for the most strenuous of requirements.

  • Triple Pivot Light  :

The newly designed, compact toe features a horizontally inserted spring. Together with the gliding plate the gliding elements integrated into the sole plates ensure a very precise release behaviour which is comparable to all other Marker bindings. Why should tourers and freestylers make any compromises? An aluminium bridge on the top provides additional support without adding any extra weight.
