Alpine Ski SkiTrab Maximo

If you're looking for something new and interesting you should have a look at SKI TRAB's lineup and their Maximo. A new touring ski with a generous 90mm waist designed for aspiring skiers willing to discover the entire mountain.

What can the Ski Trab Maximo do?

Like a good touring ski, the Maximo was designed to reach the highest peaks. Featuring a light poplar core giving the ski its lively character, reinforced with carbon fiber and glass, it weighs only 1310g in 178cm. Ultra light through your ascents, the ski was made for climbing the steepest couloirs with an effortless ease. But it was also designed for having fun on the downhill, whatever the conditions. This is why the ski comes with a rockered tip enhancing control and floatation on powder, and with a swallow tail which is not very common. This specific shape offers more flexibility through the turns and remains stiff with lots of drive when the ski sits flat. Plus, this Duo Tech tail allows to clip the skins very easily. You can ride the Maximo with confidence in any conditions, no matter how deep or chunky the snow is.

Who is the Ski Trab Maximo designed for?

SKI TRAB is aiming for intermediates and advanced skiers with this mid fat touring ski. Best suited for modern skiers looking for easy ascents and fun descents, the ski is a good choice for freetouring. From deep powder to bumps and crud, you can rely on the Maximo for ultimate skiing performance.

Shape

Structure - Construction

  • LiWood  :

The evolution of the leightweght wood core!

Lightweight and quality within everyone's reach. A new light wood core reinforced with a fiberglass box wrapping arounf the skis provides light and high performance skis with durability and resistance.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

Various

  • Attivo Progressive Shape  :

Innovative shape allowing a gradual entry into the fresh snow, maintaining however the contact on hard snow also with flat skis.

  • Duo Tech  :

Is still an innovation in the ski mountaineering field. A special shaped tail makes the difference: it improves the skiing performance while turning and on flat terrain and it also proves to be a very pratical system to fix the ski skins at the tail.
