Choosing the right ZAG touring ski?
The ZAG Ubac range, a must in freerando
Whoever hasn't heard of the Ubac range and enjoys freetouring doesn’t know what’s up! The ZAG Ubac range has been in existence since 2012 and, although it has been a success from the very first days, it has nevertheless found a way to develop itself winter after winter. For the 2020-2021 season, the Ubac range has been further extended with the arrival of the Ubac in 89 mm skates. Available in both men's and women's versions, the thinnest model in the range ensures an exceptional weight/performance ratio, with a volume that makes it possible to be light on the way up while retaining skiability for which Ubac skis are famous. This ski represents performance and versatility. For the rest of the Ubac range, we find the Ubac 95, ZAG best-seller in all categories, which still offers an incredible weight/power ratio and a behaviour that is both stable and playful on all types of snow. It is available in a women's version with the Ubac 95 Lady. Finally, for those looking for more lift in powder snow and performance in big mountains, there is the Ubac 102 and the Bakan with its 112 mm skates. All offer the mix between playability and stability that is the DNA of this range.
The ZAG Adret range, for light hikes
The ZAG Adret range consists of three skis, even lighter than those in the Ubac range. With the Adret 81, the Adret 88 and the Adret 88 Lady, it doesn't exceed one kilo per ski (except for the Adret 88 which barely exceeds it, with 1 0 30 grams in a size 174) and 1 140 grams in a size 182. Light, but torsionally stiff and with a pronounced camber to provide a good grip on both ascents and descents on steep slopes. It is a rigorous ski, which is intended for experienced/expert skiers looking for both lightness on ascents and a very good grip on hard snow.
