Backpack Descensionist 40L

The Patagonia Descensionist 40L is based on the Ascensionist mountaineering model and is a freeride backpack that is also practical for ski touring. It is designed to handle all the mountain safety gear you need without weighing you down during ascents. It has a lightweight, ultra-technical design that meets the needs of off-piste enthusiasts for memorable descents.

The Patagonia Descensionist 40L bag is extremely light and flexible thanks to this combination of materials. It is extremely tear and abrasion resistant. Its wide opening makes it easy to access its contents. The drawstring tightens and closes the flap instantly for optimal protection against snow. The side zipper opening provides another quick and convenient access to the main compartment, while the pocket with a zipper on the flap keeps your small accessories within reach.

A dedicated pocket for your snow shovel and avalanche probe has an elastic drawstring on the inside for optimal organisation and quick access. The adjustable shoulder strap system includes a quilted waistband with an expandable storage pocket. The removable high-density foam back panel provides a secure fit and support when the bag is heavily loaded. The compression straps make it easy to attach a snowboard or a pair of skis, while the two gear straps allow you to attach multiple accessories.
