Hiking Binoculars
Are you looking for compact and powerful binoculars for your hikes?
At Glisshop we offer various binoculars for hiking, from the plain and simple pair to high-end binoculars giving a wide field of view and a comfort of use beyond compare. When buying a pair of binoculars, beyond the price, the footprint and robustness, one should consider the performance level. Several characteristics play a role in the performance of a pair of binoculars: magnification power, objective lens diameter, field of view, as well as minimal focusing distance. Magnification power is the zoom, diameter defines the capacity to capture light (a high capacity is useful in low light conditions), the field defines the width of the observable terrain, while the minimal focusing distance determines the distance at which it is possible to have a clear focus. This last point is very handy to observe small subjects at close range, for example insects. Of course, the more performance a pair of binoculars offers, the bigger and heavier it gets. This explains why you should ask yourself the question, “what am I going to use my binoculars for?” and “should I rule in favour of lightness for the need of my adventure?”
