The UGG brand was born in the 1980s, created in Southern California by the Australian surfer Brian Smith, who created an original boot designed in sheep leather, a material he was particularly fond of at the time. By the mid-80s, the brand was already a staple in beach culture and was distributed in local surf shops from San Diego to Santa Cruz.
