Description

We are offering models with cosmetic defects for sale. They are brand new, guaranteed by the manufacturer, and have no construction or manufacturing defects. The screen printing was scratched during transport or storage in our warehouse. A grading based on their condition has been established: This snowboard has been rated as 3*, meaning it has barely visible defects.

A splitboard doesn't necessarily mean big mountain freeriding. Yes, you also have the right to go on a tour in search of powder on more accessible slopes and backcountry that's certainly more peaceful than the runs of the Freeride World Tour but no less thrilling! For that, you take the Nitro Nomad and enjoy its manoeuvrability and comfort in powder to get a full dose of sensations!

What is the Nitro Nomad snowboard made for?

The Nomad splitboard offers a medium flex that's well balanced between performance and forgiveness. It's ideal for linking turns effortlessly and without your legs getting tired after already expending energy climbing. The slightly set back stance, directional shape, and flat camber add even more ease to the ride, while allowing the board to naturally float in powder. The grip is sufficient for passing over sections of hard snow, even if this board doesn't offer the grip and stability needed for tackling steep slopes. However, you can confidently set off for beautiful adventures away from the ski lifts. The Nomad splitboard is reliable, with notably robust forged aluminium hooks for impeccable locking. Don't forget your climbing skins, which Nitro has actually released a version specially designed for the Nitro Nomad (sold separately).

Who is the Nitro Nomad snowboard aimed at?

This model will be perfect for experienced snowboarders looking for a splitboard with which they can fully enjoy their outings in beautiful snow conditions, while maintaining riding comfort thanks to a fairly friendly flex and very good manoeuvrability.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
