The Active Skate is the entry level in the Madshus range, a very forgiving ski dedicated to learning skating and casual skiers.
What are the characteristics of the Madshus Active Skate nordic ski?
Even though the name is very similar to the Active Pro Skate they are two very different skis. On this particular model the ultra-light foam core gives way to Paulownia. This does not mean that the ski is not as good but rather that is it meant for a different program. This core gives it more sturdiness, a point that should not be neglected when talking about beginner skiers who at the same time need more weight on the ski to find their foundation and a firm structure that does not give at the first push. The P-Tex 2000 Electra base offers an appropriate glide, and regarding a ski of this program the most important aspect is not performance but control of speed. So, it is the perfect balance to start the activity. It comes with NIS 7 mounting plates exclusively compatible with Rottefella bindings. This brand is compatible with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic boot standards.
