What Does a Cross-Country Ski Waxing Kit Contain?
There are different kits for maintaining your skis. The simplest ones contain CH wax for regular base maintenance. This is not a performance wax but rather for ski upkeep. They may include a base scraper, a groove scraper, a brass brush, a soft brush... Other kits contain Low Fluor wax, which is more hydrophobic and more effective at removing moisture from the base. LF can be used for your outings or as a preparation base for races. Other maintenance kits may include a waxing iron, fabric rolls for polishing and finishing, all in a storage pouch.
