This was and remains a high-performance skating ski designed by the austrian manufacturer. The 2018 version returns with a new cosmetic upgrade but its construction is unchanged. The only new thing is the binding interface. Now featuring a IFP plate instead of a NIS one, the only binding you can mount on the ski is the new Turnamic binding.
What can the Fischer Carbonlite Skate H-Plus Stiff IFP ski do?
The Carbonlite Skate has brought performance a notch higher in the world of skating. The ski features the same construction as the Speedmax ski. Ultra Light honeycomb core, fibreglass reinforcements and carbon tip and tail for maximal performance. The stiff camber is Fischer’s stiffest offer but it’s also the most versatile as it is extremely efficient on hard snow. The ski feels very lively and maneuvers with precision through technical terrains. The carbon tips makes pushing easier. The only difference with the Speedmax is the manufacturing process of the base. Speaking about the base, the Plus is the most versatile one as it is designed to perform between -5°C and +2°C which are the most common temperatures. In terms of skiability, even if we just said the camber was the stiffest in Fischer’s line, don’t be intimidated. The ski remains forgiving and feels very stable when it glides. It’s very pleasant and allows any skier to have fun with it. Finally, the IFP plate is designed to work with the new Turnamic bindings. These bindings work with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic boots. Only SNS standards do not work with it.
Who is the Fischer Carbonlite Skate H-Plus Stiff IFP cross-country ski designed for?
If the Carbonlite is not Fischer’s ultimate weapon anymore (it is the Speedmax), it remains a performance-focused ski offering forgiveness and stability. Slightly cheaper than the Speedmax, it delivers similar performance and remains one of the best skate skis in the world. Whether you’re a racer or a regular skier, if you want a high-end technical ski, the Carbonlite will make you happy.

The lightest material Fischer use: Air Core technology, bidirectional with multiaxial carbon fabric. Less than 500g per ski for unrivaled performance.
Deeper and coarser Plus structure, ideal for warm and moist conditions. Produced using natural diamond.
The finishing touch now comes from Finish First: the term that covers and unites all the individual technological steps in the course of the final treatment of the base.
Multiaxial T300 1K carbon fibre for ski tip, ski tail and as laminate. Extremely tough and minimum weight.
Skating construction with HM carbon laminates to reduce ski tip mass. Requires less effort thanks to reduced pendulum action.
The next generation in ski pairing: fully automatic dynamic measurements of a multitude of pairing criteria ensures precise ski choice and optimised pairing.
Infrared preparation of the base with hot fluorinated wax. Great glide properties, protects from dirt and oxydation. Powered by Swix.
From the trainer and the coaches to the engineers at Fischer who make every effort to develop the perfect set-up. With technologies that are tuned to each other in the ski, boot, binding and pole. Because victory is a question of perfect details. Now featuring the new RACE CODE label of quality, guaranteeing the technological lead for professionals and other ambitious skiers, direct from Fischer's racing department.
Skating race ski construction for maximum speed through pressure relief at the ski tip and tail. Perfect on compact to soft snow.
Built in two pieces, this integrated plate reduces negative constraints on camber in order to optimise the ski conduct. The anchor point on the binding fore part, the thin plate and the flexibility ensure precise support, enhanced contact feel and better glide feel. The IFP plates only work with Turnamic bindings.
