Description

The Petzl Pedale Footcord rope accessory installs directly on an Ascension locking handle to facilitate fixed-rope ascent maneuvers in artificial climbing or caving. Its technical design is based on the use of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a material selected for its high resistance to abrasion and repeated mechanical stress. This enhanced durability means it can cope with rubbing against the wall without compromising the integrity of the structure. Thanks to its adjustable elastic band, this pedal ensures constant support of the foot, preventing any accidental slipping when pushing, whatever the footwear used, from caving boots to technical booties. Its aluminum adjustment plate enables precise height modulation, optimizing the ergonomics of the ascent according to the climber's morphology. Extremely light at just 40 grams, it minimizes bulk on the harness while offering a robust solution for demanding vertical progressions.
