Description

The Ticket Twin is a versatile freestyle snowboard from Amplid. It’s a robust and accessible twin-tip, featuring a wood core reinforced by biaxial glass fibre as well as a durable and easy to maintain extruded base.

What is the program of the Amplid Ticket Twin snowboard?

Congratulation, you just got your ticket to the freestyle world. Before shredding the biggest jumps of the terrain park, you first need to start with smaller features. The Ticket Twin offers pop thanks to its classic camber, forgiveness and playfulness thanks to its accessible flex and rockers. Indeed, with a full classic camber it would have more punch but be less forgiving when catching an edge, which would result in a fall on each less than perfect landing. The board offers a rather good balance between performance and forgiveness, as showed by the medium flex. Powerful enough to provide pop on ollies, but soft enough to feel comfortable on rails and other jib tricks. Beyond freestyle, this twin-tip can be used on groomed runs and around no matter the conditions. This way, you can totally indulge in some descents at a relaxed pace when you get tired of the terrain park.

Who is the Amplid Ticket Twin snowboard for?

We recommend this model to intermediate and advanced level snowboarders looking for a board to progress in freestyle, without forgoing the rest of the resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
