Description

The Clovis from Arbor is a powder gun that maintains a playful temperament and great versatility. It is as neat on the outside as it is on the inside, and its construction mixes several types of wood, fiberglass, and carbon reinforcements. A large part of its construction materials is sustainable: the wood is FSC-certified, the topsheet is made of bioplastic, the edges are made of recycled steel, and the glue and wax are of natural origin.

What is the programme of the Arbor Clovis snowboard?

The Arbor Clovis is a very directional board, designed to offer maximum efficiency in powder snow. Thus, the front spatula volume provides automatic flotation, and the tapered shape and the backward inserts make curving much easier. It can also be used on hard snow, with a classic camber that secures edge grip. The board's flex is well balanced, it is comfortable and playful, but still offers bounce in curves and stability at high speed thanks to the combination of fibreglass, carbon reinforcements and bamboo centre rails. A board to be used both in backcountry mode between the pines and in long curves on groomed slopes.

Who is the Arbor Clovis snowboard for?

Do not be scared by its atypical shape, the Clovis remains an accessible board because its tapered shape and well-balanced flex make it very Manoeuvrable. We recommend it to snowboarders from the intermediate to the advanced level who are looking for a board that performs well in extreme conditions but still retains playability and good on-piste skills.

What are the main qualities of the Arbor Clovis snowboard?

Manoeuvrability

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
