Snowboard Distortia

The Bataleon Distortia features a twin-tip shape, which is perfectly symmetrical between the front and the back, allowing you to ride switch without difficulty. This gives you great options for freestyle, just like the player flex. However, the Distortia is not limited to tricks and snowpark riding. The classic camber and carbon reinforcements in the bindings offer a very effective grip on the piste, with stability in the turns while keeping the board easy to ride and forgiving. Indeed, the flex is not too stiff and provides comfort on the slopes and the slightly concave shape of the tips helps to avoid some edge mistakes. The concave shape of the tips also improves the lift in powder, for more playability and fun on the slopes. Finally, the carbon spar that reinforces the middle of the board boosts pop and rebound, for more height in ollie and more recovery in turns. A great freestyle board for fun on the slopes, edges of the piste and snowpark.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
